JM/Wonderland using marshall style iron?
Long time lurker.. some time poster. I'm doing the preliminary home work on a JM/Wonderland build using the schem and layout from this forum. A couple years back I was getting ready to start a 69SL. I have a chassis, Iron and tubes. I'm wondering if the Iron I have would work if I built a JM/Wonderl...

5E8-A Low Powered Twin 6V6's..?
Getting ready to build a 5E8-A and wondering if there would be any reason why i couldn't pop some 6V6's in there?
Thinking there would need to be a re-bias.
But also wondering if i would need to swap out the two rectifier tubes maybe.?

Tung-Sol 6V6-GT in Redplate Blackverb.
Wondering if any one has any experience running Tung-Sol 6V6-GT in a redplate blackverb?
Henry recommends EH's and i could go that way, but i am able to get a matched pair of Tung-Sol's at a good price right now here in New Zealand.
Plate voltage in the blackverb is about 430-450ish..

Re: Fender speakers (Oxford 12L6)
I don't want to sound so negative, but...... If they are anything like the 12" Oxford that came in my old Deluxe Reverb, they suck for Dumble tone. I haven't heard them in a proper D-style cabinet, though. Only my opinion, YMMV. Best of luck in your venture! D The blackverb isn't really a dumble. I...

Re: Fender speakers (Oxford 12L6)
i've only just got it. it was built for some one else and i got it used from them for about half price :D so far i'm really digging it, i get great bluesy tones on the clean channel, and then get to come close to those clapton "from the cradle- mr Johnson" tones using the tweed setting.. the amp lov...

Can any one shed some light on these?
I'm looking to make a 2X12 cab for my redplate blackverb based off of the dumble 2X12 cab plans available in the d-files forum.
Seller claims they are 1968 vintage, and that one has been re-coned recently.

This is cool..
I mused wether or not to post this is the talk forum, or in here. Mod's feel free to move it.
Any hoo... it's a cool vid of the new pigtronic ROTORON.. but look over the Lance Keltner's shoulder.. and what do you see?
You also get to hear some very cool tones.
