Re: Help location QUALTIY tube amp head with Headphone Jack
tubes, on the other hand, require a lot of space, large components, and high voltage which means even a simple headphone amp can take up precious real estate. If you don't mind your amp being the size of an airplane wing I am sure it can be added in You might be onto something. Maybe someone can st...

Re: ADA MicroCab and ADA Ampulator handshaking question
Well. I bought the ADA MicroCab. Has not arrived. It is designed to signal to a mixer/recording application, but my intention is to keep it within my rackmount signal chain with a couple of rackmount preamps before and some rackmount preamps after the MicroCab. If this works out, I'll be interested ...

ADA MicroCab and ADA Ampulator handshaking question
Hi! Is anyone familiar with the ADA MicroCab or the ADA Ampulator? Are these preamps both straight DI units that can/must ONLY output to recording mixers? Or, can they be used within a rackmount chain of effects towards adding tone/sound possibilities? Can these two preamps output to an amp or anoth...

Re: Handshaking between rackmount power amps & speaker cabin
1x15 = 800 watts programmable power 400 watts continuous at 8ohms 4x10 = 700 watts programmable power 350 watts continuous at 8ohms Thanks, Zippy. Above are the Fender/Eminence specs. Guessing, someone could play a 350watt amp through them, but would need to be cautious of speaker overload or clippi...

Re: Handshaking between rackmount power amps & speaker cabin
Thanks. The speaker specs state programmable or continuous power features. Just guessing, if all handshaking is 8ohms, there should be no problem except for clipping by overpowering the speakers to get them to break-up towards being distorted. Hopefully, these speakers should handle that with my pla...

Re: Help location QUALTIY tube amp head with Headphone Jack
Thanks guys. I purchased a Weber Mass 200 attenuator with the headphone jack dummy load added for $25. That was good. Sold it this year. But, maybe Peavey Mashall Mesa Fender, the quality amp mfg's, just do not make good tube amps with the headphone feature. I have three solid state amps with headph...

Help location QUALTIY tube amp head with Headphone Jack
Looking for an all-tube guitar amp head, 50w-80w max output that has a head phone jack for home play. This amp must be a real player, a keeper, not some cheap poorly made product. Currently, I own: 1) a Fender G-Dec 30w with a headphone jack 2) a Pigtronix Hog 20w with a headphone Jack and a Marshal...

Re: BOSS LM2 Limiter Guitar Pedal Questions
Yep....remove D2 and R3 and replace with jumpers. Then use any standard 9 vdc power supply. As I understand it..... Back in the day, well regulated 9v power supplies were not common and more expensive. Roland's answer was to use a cheap non-regulated 12v power supply with a diode and resistor to "r...

Re: BOSS LM2 Limiter Guitar Pedal Questions
How are you powering them? Do they require the old ACA-120 power supply? Have you tried them with a battery? edit: Just looked them up. They do require the ACA series power supply. They are 12 vdc not 9 vdc (regardless of what the label says). If you can find a schematic - there is usually a diode ...

BOSS LM2 Limiter Guitar Pedal Questions
Hi! Is anybody familar with the BOSS LM2 Limiter Pedal? I bought two first year versions ~ July 1987 and August 1987. Cosmetically, both are in near mint condition. Electronically and output, they are exactly the same, as I've A/B'd them in several setups, amps and speakers. In By-Pass mode, awesome...
