Re: What're you listening to right now??

There is no version of this without extreme profanity. What you are hearing was made by AI. I found most interesting the production. The AI associates everything related to an instrument TO THAT instrument. The more thoughtful among us will imagine a moment in the nearest future when there won't be ...

Re: Stirs Neural pot

I put in the cab models but don't use them in the case I play with something other than my playback rig. They sound great though. Return into a pair of SSS amps would move a mountain. Go do that lol SSL you zero the make up, select ratio, set attack and release in the middle, trigger wide open. You ...

Re: Stirs Neural pot

Crushed it for hours yesterday. Best clean sound I ever played. Chain is Morgan 50, SSL, stereo chorus, delay line, plate. That takes zero seconds to setup again because it is a patch now and that patch is a basis for every clean sound I will ever setup. For around 20 years I used MOTU and Nuendo/Cu...

Obvious you would say that. You make millions moderating a tube amp forum.

Re: Stirs Neural pot

Series 4 holers came to me in the 80s when I didn't have a little amp but I had a few days off. Kolbe silent speaker load and Rane eq into second head to Kolbe into power makes a very uppity hotel rig. The sustain and harmonics are nuts. It sounds like Fair Warning. I am pretty sure because that was...

Plexis in series without hurting the human: Priceless If there was only the Diezel, totally worth.. but there is so much more! One thing I don't like is programming from the unit itself, and that there is no stereo pitch shift for Dual 910s. Another is that all Voxes are too dirty by a teeny with PA...

Re: Blackvibe 6L6 Strange behavior on tone pots

Bright cap makes brighter. :)

Turn mid control up slightly, and turn treble down the same amount.

If you do add the bright cap it peaks ^ the treble so you turn treble control down. The natural curve might work better.. or might not. You should test.

Re: Blackvibe 6L6 Strange behavior on tone pots

What is the bright cap value? 250p? Try 100p. Break-in isn't probably going to retire ice picky.

Re: Good Mods for Harp Amp Designs

Fairly stock with a large treble cap to dump more range. If it is muddy, a smaller and smaller early stage coupling cap. This can depend on speaker as much as anything. Celestions get your target bandpass without doing anything to a 5e3. What mic do you really like? SM57 with boiled out transformer ...

Sold out for now, but this is my choice for the voltage range I like on my amps.

400v on tube rectification.

Re: Happy April, you nerds!

But you must know that people spend upwards of $2000 to put what they think is original style plastic on Les Paul copies.

No fooling. They think the rings make a tremendous difference. There are videos and volumes of text about it.

Re: Fryette Power Station

(Discounting for Fletcher Munson curves and speaker response) If money is going to be spent, I always fall on the more is less side. Options you might rarely use are still useful and if they aren't available.. well.. can't do that. Options are tools. I know Paul's Fryette + 100w works like me loopi...
