Re: Two rock crs v1 vs v3 differences

yep, believe me, I know enough not to be dangerous in that way. ;^} I've built several ODS amps, JM, countless fenders, marshalls, voxes and variants. It's the integration of the reverb circuit I'm working on now. You gotta know what you're doing to not be dangerous! That being said: if you work cle...

Re: Two rock crs v1 vs v3 differences

Thanks for sharing this exploration. In my meager way, I've been experimenting with putting reverb in after the loop in a smaller build. I've learned a bit, but mostly that I don't really know enough not to be dangerous ;^}. It's coming along, but this gives me some things to think about as well.

absolutely, very cool indeed. I love my 2nd gen. I'm really interested in incorporating reverb, but haven't had time to complete my reverb build yet. Very interested to see this one develop. Nice boards!

Beautiful work as always Taylor, I think you just get even better with time. I still can't get over how cool it was that you had a chance to experience that amp personally.

Re: Faceplate price increases at Mojotone

Sandy got mine here even faster (I'm only one state away). Fast, but more importantly excellent quality. Now if I could only get my holes centered in my chassis this well!

Re: Faceplate price increases at Mojotone

I want to echo this post. I've been getting faceplates done for years from Mojotone in the price range mentioned above. Now I quote a simple 17 1/2" x 2" black and white plate, I get $60 setup plus $60 designing fee plus the cost of the plate. $146 for one little plate? That's not realistic. Too bad...

Re: to combo or not to combo, that is the question

I put my 2nd gen 50w in a combo cab, pine as noted above. It sounds great and is easy to transport with a celestion G12-65.

Marcus, it is so cool to hear these tales and to hear of your amp's growing legend! Seeing the guitars and getting a whiff of the whole thing is so cool. Thanks so much or sharing!

That looks like a great project, and a seriously cool tribute. I've been kicking around a (slightly simpler) 6v6 build for a long time. Can't wait to see it come together!

Re: Old School Brandon Style Dumbleator Build (x2)

Thanks Charlie, I appreciate it! Thanks guys. BarryW, I used a Heyboer PT-135 HTS-8883 power transformer. It is the same transformer that Brandon was selling a long time ago. There is nothing really proprietary about it, so they made me one and if anybody wants one, they can order using those number...

Re: I built this for the Dragon Bat! Low plate classic with reverb and 1/2 loop

another beauty Taylor! I need to wrap my head around the blend of the two circuits and the concept of a 1/2 loop. I've been working on trying to blend the two circuits with an eye toward a similar concept.
