For me this is a great example of why dumble cleans. M I definitely agree on the cleans. I really like my JM Sig clone as ...

183 heater current concerns - experience with heyboer?
I've read many threads and I know that there are many 183 builds out there. It seems that many of been concerned over the current draw for the heaters since this build uses EL34s and really calls for 6.9 A on the heaters. Re: Monkeymatic ODS #183
What a great build, superb work! I'm contemplating a 183 before I do my low plate 124 build. I'm concerned about the capacity of the PT to handle the heater load. I'm posting a question separately on that. I assume that's the source of the heat concern.

I'd like to add my thanks Taylor, you are an extremely helpful guy and I really appreciate all the assistance. I've built one of these using Taylor's chassis, and it is excellent. it's one of the nicest Amps I've ever played in my life and I use it regularly and one of my bands.

I have one precision board left too - doing a 124 next, but the old style board is fine for me. I'll have to make one. Enjoy the build!

Re: New 70s hybrid build
Sounds awesome! Once I figured out the quirks with the switches that have been documented previously, and added the 10K tell resistor on the bass pot, and got the FET set, it was a dead nuts winner. Love it!

I did have to drill a few extra holes, but I do that sort of thing all the time. Sorry I couldn't reply sooner - I am no longer able to access this forum on my main home com...
