Wizard MTL - PCB's 25w / 50w / 100w

Building on the MCII PCB's, my Wizard MTL PCB's have arrived. I've got a stack of the zero-loss FX Loop PCB's also which work well with these main PCB's. Ready to ship. Manufacturing costs have gone up slightly, therefore these main board will be US$35 plus shipping for US$20 worldwide. Loop Boards ...

New batch of MCII PCB's are in. Minor changes from v1 of the board, this v2 now includes an additional aux relay and slightly improved on-PCB channel muting. PM you are interested, I will ship worldwide. https://i.imgur.com/RzHP1uB.jpg https://i.imgur.com/zhkJcbV.jpg https://i.imgur.com/AFS2Gf7.jpg

Re: Wizard MCII

At least one is definitely for a tube buffered loop. In our design we favoured a LND150 based zero-loss fx loop, and shared the first gain stage between Rhythm & Lead channels which would account for an additional extra triode not being needed.

Re: Wizard MCII

I've completed the first prototype build with my PCB. I've done a 6V6 25w MC25, although the PCB will easily accommodate 50W & 100W flavours. The PCB includes a separate rectifier and regulator for either DC Heaters and/or the relay power supply. Room for setting up elevated DC heaters, 5 on-board r...

Re: Wizard MCII

I've designed a PCB for the MCII based on the schematic earlier in this thread. It will do an MC25, MCII 50w or 100w. Some excellent QA and assistance from Kurt has it complete. We've ordered a small batch and between us will build a couple to verify. I've got a fair bit of interest from other DIY b...

Recently finished my own build of the DS40 based on the Pety the Pitbull's preamp schematic along with info gathered across the Net re the exact JTM45 power amp setup. Cracking amp, really happy with it.

Re: Friedman Dirty Shirley thoughts.

I can be too curious sometimes. Here are some voltages readings from a DS Mini. Sizable PT on this. Wall Voltage 119.1-119.6 (was creeping up during measurements) Heaters - about 6.25 VAC Gain switch on highest setting V1 1 - 154.6 3 - 1.44 6 - 202.4 8 - 1.736 V2 1 - 168.1 3 - .879 6 - 274.2 7 - 16...
