Gain staging

Has anyone checked the signal voltages through one of these ODS circuits. I'm getting no real output through a new build unless I start diming the stack and volumes. Voltages and bias is spot on. I'm looking for signal voltages through the gain stages.

Re: Old Time Photo's Thread!

New Year's Eve 1984. Kicked the ass out of a private party in a Podunk town. Saw some kid afterward with a ghetto blaster going down the road had taped the whole show on a cassette. Some guy tried to give me his drugs and his girlfriend. Rock and roll was good to me.

Re: Tweedle Dee Issue

Slucky , yes I've experienced the interaction on a typical deluxe build though I can't remember ever turning one up to full on or what it did if I did it. It's the shared feed to the cathodyne that is providing the feedback for the other volume pot. I don't know how you would get around that. 67 ple...

Re: Tweedle Dee Issue

LDC , it does the same thing with the guitar plugged in to the mic input and raising the instrument input. Miles , nobody likes my singing but I am the consummate professional about it. I'm getting paid either way. Some people pay me to stop. 67plexi, so does yours do it or not ? Both are built from...

Re: Tweedle Dee Issue

I built from the Tweedle Dee schematic provided by Charlie Wilson and posted in the dumble sections. 1 meg wired the same as the guitar input with standard 1 meg pots. Just wondering if anyone else has tried this and noticed wether or not it does it. There is a path as both pots feed the PI on one s...

Tweedle Dee Issue

Funny issue with the circuit which plays and sounds great by the way. Plugged into the guitar input with volume at a 1/4 and if I run the mic volume all the way up the signal drops out completely. Is this feeding back through the coupling caps and plate resistors and causing phase cancellation?

Re: Early 1960s Gretsch Amp

Do a search over at schematic heaven and look under valco or supro schematics. These companies built a lot of oem stuff back then and I've found Gretsch schematics like that before

Re: Is This a Dumbel Clone

Looks kinda iffy to me. Lots of ceramic sockets and caps stuck everywhere like someone tried to stop some things that might have been the product of poor layout, component choice or wire routing. On top of all that it sounds like the owner has a higher value of it based on what he has invested inste...

Re: Overdrive #124 in 16x8x3in Chassis

Congrats, I have a hard enough time building them in a 19" chassis with no reverb. Sounds great although way too much reverb for the song you picked. Now you have an amp that makes you want to play. Welcome to the board

Re: Any interest in seeing some Dumble Tweed Deluxe photos?

I am using a 2x12 with G1265s or a crate blue voodoo with OEMs. Sounds great with either.
