Express + 6V6 + American-voiced speaker + open-back 1x12 = ?
How do 6V6's and/or an "American" (as opposed to "British") voiced speaker in a 1x12 cab change the tone and feel of an Express (Ceriatone in this case)?

Re: Yellowjackets in an Express type amp?
I just picked up a Ceriatone Express. Is there anything that needs to be done to the circuit or can I jsut drop the YJ's right in as I have on other amps?

Re: What could I build with this?
Not yet. I will work on that.Have you attempted to find a schematic for it?
I was thinking of using the octal preamp tubes if I could find a single-ended amp schematic that uses them.

What could I build with this?
I need to venture out into buildign an amp, not just lurking and seeing all of the cool things you guys are able to put together! I have this old radio chassis. Any ideas on what I can do with it? Maybe a hot-rodded champ? [img:640:480]http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r69/liquidayno/Epiphonetubesc...

Re: speakers?
I have tried to find a Mesa 4812 cab for years!--a Mesa 1x12 plus 4x8 open back. It's a weird cab, open back, but it sounds great! Lots of punch and clarity.

Like it or not, that is eBay policy. Their site, their right. That's bullshit that Ebay removes those.

Re: About the trainwreck "reissues"...
I'm sure JM can build an Express/Liverpool and the bashing has been quite mild on my part. Just waiting for the Express/Liverpool to come and hear some clips. Yeah, maybe I should have said skeptical instead of bashing. Some of it healthy skepticism until we hear some clips and get more info! [/quo...

Re: About the trainwreck "reissues"...
I still find it funny that JM had to start with the Rocket first because as he found out its the easiest one to CLONE. I don't think this is accurate. Didn't he start out by completing the Rocket that is now at Lark Street, and then building several more Rockets after having his hands on the one Ke...

Re: Brand New Trainwrecks?
I also read that Dr. Z is considering making the Z-Wreck a production model. I imagine it would have a pretty good price point too!

Re: Brand New Trainwrecks?
Sounds like there are other models coming; Express, Liverpool, and Trem-Rocket all will be available. Maybe he could be convinced to build a Dirty Little Monster.

Re: Brand New Trainwrecks?
I have thought about these new Trainwrecks and I think I like the idea. I will point out that they are being called Trainwreck REISSUES. I think that is an important distinction. I also don't think that $4,000 is a bad price for an official Trainwreck reissue, as there are boutique builders that cha...

Re: Last Trainwreck
I found the answer to my questions on the Trainwreck website: http://www.trainwreck.com/?page_id=5 New Trainwrecks??? Introducing the Trainwreck Authorized Reissues. The new builder for Trainwreck Circuits is, like Ken, someone who prefers to remain out of the public spotlight. In respect for his pr...

Re: Last Trainwreck
Since it is not on theier website, and it is a long drive from Seattle, can someone detail more of what this is? It sounds like a "mostly" finished Rocket built by Ken. Lark St. bought it in unfinished form and then who finished and voiced it? How much do they want for it? Anyone near Lark St. that ...
