Most scopes come with a detailed manual that is packed full of examples.
I find a square or triangle wave is best.
Be careful of noise with new scopes. They pick up everything and can mask what you're looking for.

Re: Monkeymatic KT88 SE Bass amp
What's pin 3 read voltage wise? is that a 820R for sure?
It looks like you have a resistor tied to the cathode with a green wire attached going off picture. What is that? It is not in the schemo.

Re: Alamo Capri Model 2560
Did you ever measure voltages? It looks like from the schematic from the company there is supposed to be ~150V going to the transformer and the PT plate has ~140V on it. Are your voltages similar? Maybe that first cap is leaky...C6? Oh I see you have 140V on your schematic as well. Was that measured...

Re: Mounting Edcors
Smokebreak there is no reason to need washers. I've mounted a bunch of Edcor PTs and never had an issue as long as you properly located the drill holes for the wires. I use a rubber grommet on the ID to protect against wear. All seems to be fine for a number of Edcors I've used.

xtian that is nice. Mine came out nicely too. I upgraded the banana clips and did a few mods. It produces a fairly nice signal...not awesome but more convenient than firing up the PC and dealing with MHz noise...

Have you tried chopsticking the yellows on V1? Seems there is quite a bit of run parallel to the heaters on that guy.

Re: Selectable B+
RJ's Eagle Supre has the edcor tranny with dual HV. I have this installed in mine which was changed from his schematic into a completely different amp (cascoded input, Mosfet CF, etc) The higher voltage offers slightly more headroom and is a touch brighter. I have a switch to break out my second sta...

Ask her what her plan is? If no college, then what? I am all for skipping the huge bill in favor of something else but it has to be a solid "something else"... - A degree shows the world you are playing by the system, companies don't like get-rich-quick individuals who think they are better than mos...

Re: The Eagle Supre - Big SE Amp
Angelodp, as Firestorm said you should move your OT B+ connection to after the 200R, on the 47u. This allows the 33u/200R to act as a CR filter to reduce the ripple hum. Might reduce the hum even more. In terms of less voltage (a few volts) I find the lower voltage sounds slightly more smooth to me ...

Re: The Eagle Supre - Big SE Amp
It looks like the 33u will be your new resevoir cap, then dropping across the 47R to the first 47u (original rez cap). Yes you'd want to remove that wire jumper from the rectifier to the (+) of the 47u... Or not use the 47R and parallel the 33/47 though that won't do much. Are you sure the hum in yo...
