Micro amps are far more popular in studio than you probably think.

Re: What music to play at wedding?

Apocalyptica played metallica's dead man walking on cello at my wedding while I walked down the isle. Fitting? You use an elbow and slide ;)

Re: Help with Ampeg M12

From the photo it looks like the resistor has been perminantly soldered to ground and the ground wire removed. If soldered the wire along to ground doesn't fix it. Check that connection.

Re: Help with Ampeg M12

Your schematic tells you. I'm confused am I missing something? If your schematic is the correct model the foot switch as said above is a simple ground make/break. One side if the switch goes to ground the other looks to attach to the resistor connected to the C10 capacitor. So find the V2 and visual...

Yes I will have to take time to sift over my emails in regards to the rocket you are referring to and post the receipt so you can see it. As well as my notes that offend you so much.. so we can separate the fact and fiction. Going from the notes I have in Ken's hand writing is the best I can offer. ...

Re: Can resistor substitute for a speaker to get desired Ohmage

My gut feeling is the speakers where a different wattage and the cabinet construction and air space complimented the tones you found attractive.

It's most likely less about the impedance unless you were intentionally mixing mismatched impedance.

Re: New songwriter 30 video

Man, if I lived in Michigan, I'd look you up Randal. I've never heard a clip that makes me want to lay down the money for one either. That being said, I've always been curious, as it was Ken's last amp. It sounds very typical el84 with the bell like quality when attacked hard. I didn't hear any blo...

Re: New songwriter 30 video

Despite the YouTube audio quality. You can tell its fighting to sustain and just doesn't have the bloom. Though he never took it out of the neck pickup position.. And his fingers sounded like they were muting his playing as much as the amp wasn't dialed in. I'm not rushing out to buy one. The tone ...

Re: Can resistor substitute for a speaker to get desired Ohmage

Weber sells a voice coil that is intended for dummy loads and power soaks. It behaves like a speaker because it basically is.

To achieve what you want. You would use an 8ohm match the wattage to the speaker you are pairing it up with.

Re: VH100R just died after putting new tubes

Tube probably shorted from the voltage shock
Check your sockets for carbon traces and loose pins

Without a tube tester your amp just told you by swapping positions the tube has failed.

Correct denotes Time delay.. If you wanted to get technical nitty gritty

An abbreviation for 'threaded cylindrical multi-pin coupling .... Such fuses are usually marked with a rating prefixed by 'T', for example T5A for a 5 amp rated fuse.
