Re: NOS Rubycons

I don't want to high jack your sales thread.

Very cool!!! To bad they aren't 100volts

I have been able to find a couple hundred 63v and about 80 160v but only a dozen 100volt in the 220uf or 10uf over the years. It amazing how few were produced.

Re: Peavey's customer service

I have no issues with peavey customer care. But I was a bit dissapointed they can't take debit card. All payment must be made with credit card due to a "hold" while the payment is processed. Not a big issue just an FYI. It does make it easier for peavey to give out freebies though.

Re: Big Bob's Marshall Warehouse

Now that you mention it that warehouse did have a low ceiling. About 7' to house a stack plus 2 heads. Regulation basement. Maroon painted cinder block walls.
Hope Bob has flood insurance.

Re: Big Bob's Marshall Warehouse

I like that it's been featured on both records and albums. I'm sold. I agree Marshall to a point... About 1998. After that it was a slippery slope of PCB and shit tastic build construction. They can sound great but if I can't throw it in a truck and use it on the next gig.. I hope I never get fat. T...

Re: Sound City GT80?

It's basically a concord with traditional controls and master volume. Or another way to look at it. A 120 minus two output tubes.

You should have a very a nice amp. They are rare but not as rare as the article I posted makes them out to be.

Re: Website idea..

It opens up small time repair guys to be held accountable to carry insurance pay taxes and be audited. They have this service on most repair techs that are certified / authorized.

Just becareful if you fly under the radar posting on the grid.

Re: I love lasers

You can pick up a Co2 laser engraving cutting table 5'x4' for $15k price to fit an amp chassis probably $10k new. Laser and CNC machines have come down considerably in the last 5 years.
