That's so sad. Ted was a true gentleman to deal with. Very honest and reliable.

Re: D-LATOR SOUND

Hi , I have notice that, when I insert the d-lator the sound it changes, some suggestion to improve? Maybe a parallel send/return instead serial? Thanks. Sergio Is the change "for the better"? My understanding is many folks prefer the dumbleator in circuit even without effects! My experience with W...

Re: Location of Standby switch - before B+1 or after????

My preference is to KEEP DC OFF THE STANDBY SWITCH. You can do that by using a double pole switch and connect the 2 HV legs from the PT secondary to the diodes. I hate hate hate big time DC on switches. I'm guessing you're worried about arcing? But I don't think that's a problem given the load on t...

Re: low sensitivity/high power handling speaker suggestions

i solved the issue by finding a drummer that doesn't hit like a girl Hahahaha does he/she know how many beats are in a 4/4 bar? That's the thing I find usually trips up about 99.8% of drummer wanna be's.   geeez i hope not i am not that interested in jamming with anyone who is li...

Tube to Output Trannie Ratio?

Hi Guys,

Anyone know of a good link showing a chart of tube type to output trannie ratio?
I've found some info but not all in one place.

Re: How many watts?

Thanks guys!

Looks like a Weller WES51D might be the go. I'm sure all the other favourite irons are great as well - just not as available in Oz.

cheers

How many watts?

After 30 years of faithful service my soldering iron has died - RIP :? Trouble is I have no idea what to replace it with. I've tried the Jaycar irons but have had two DOA (or shortly afterwards) and the one I have now barely works (supposedly 42W more like 4W). I'm thinking of getting a proper Wella...

Re: My Rocket has a new hangar!

The two pictures I could upload don't show it off very well, but it is Claro Walnut. American Walnut is hands down my favorite wood to work with. Claro Walnut, as I understand it, is American Walnut that has had a part of a fruit tree grafted onto it. The result is amazing. It is sometimes called g...

Re: Stupid stupid stupid

Hey Dan, Found some stuff called BernzOmatic (already had their propane torch - mostly used by daughter #2 for creme brulee toffee). They sell two rod packs of the same stuff as durafix for $10 aussie. So I bought the two rods and a steel brush. Two attempts later and I have a passable welded up hol...

Yeah, really. You think you're the only dope out there? Sheesh, my Dumble chassis looks like swiss cheeze. What difference does it make? You turning pro on the first build? Nah, just want to play the damn thing and give up building altogether so it's gotta be good!! Now speaking of your sign...

Re: Stupid stupid stupid

Try a call to and see what they would charge to weld that chassis or if they are willing get you some of the durafix. Or look up a local welder or sculptor ask if you can buy one or two HTS-2000 Brazing Rods which is for aluminum. Performance Metalcraft 18 Euston st Rydalmere 9638 2419 You an aussi...
