Re: I think this is my favorite guitar solo.

That Ryan Adams solo is just killer- the kind of thing I hear in my head. Saying volumes in just a few very tasty notes. I'll take that over any shreddy wanking every time.

David,

The one on the left is the BF version that used the "snowman" #8. Middle is not legit I think, right one is SF era.

Re: Trainwreck Express Filter Capacitors

Or go the Joe Bonamassa route and add a plexiglass screen in front of your speaker cab. Then turn that attenuator up some more. Most sound shite turned down much.

Re: Dave friedman interview

I heard a clip of Greg Koch the other day playing a Les Paul through amFriedman Small Box 50- really dug the tone he was getting. Anyone familiar with this amp?

Re: Express Documents

I'll throw him a bone.. The Mallory TC series are not that plentiful and stoopidly expensive. RJ Guitars was selling some a while back. Personally, I'd use F&T if I built another one. The other smaller caps can be substituted with similar Mallory caps. Or try something else for flavor. These were ch...

Re: Member passed away.

I am just hearing of this.. And I'm devastated. Tim was such a fine man and I will miss him greatly. My heart...

I for one love these amps, and if it was for self promotion of products, he would not have shown so much of the interiors, schematics, etc.

I look forward to seeing more!

Re: Things to do while TGP is down

Meh. I guess I'd have to actually read that forum to give a shit. Which I don't, on both accounts.

I looked at it years ago, but was just revolted by the trend following masses and know-it-alls who just live to flame anyone calling them on their BS.

The stuff I use is adhesive backed already, really easy to use. Got it at Michael's or Hobby Lobby, don't remember which.
