Re: Joe Bonnamassa on the Peter Lerche Dumble You Tube Clip

Funny. Peter Lerche's tone is the best one I've heard from a youtube clip.(personal opinion for sure) It's not the normal Robben style thing, but I like it very much. Furthermore, just like mr lerche, I love these amps in the jazz position. Once again, who will explain Bonamassa and his fellows, tha...

Re: taming the high range in loudspeakers

Sorry ER I didn't answer you. BTW, i konw quite well xover and that kind of stuff. I also have a few pieces of software for xover calculation. There are also other factors related to the dimension of the baffle that can be interesting to evaluate ( the so called baffle step compensation) So a first ...

taming the high range in loudspeakers

I've tried to search a bit without any luck, and I can't remember where it is.
A few months back somebody was suggesting to place a simple inductor in series with a speaker just to tame the high range. Can anybody point me to that thread pls?
Thanks for the help.

Re: Change in Sound Due to Cap Foil Orientation?

never tried seriously to play with caps orientation.
But just to understand, are the differences you get ( let's say as "magnitude") something similar in changing the brand of the cable of the guitar, or are we talking of something more subtle?

Re: Two Rock/Dumble schematics

don't want to be rude in any way with nobody, but this guy is asking for infos he doesn't know. And as he said it's not that easy to get good infos. So if he's still reading us, I would like to tell him a few things. 1) the dumble sound is not only a matter of amp, guitars speakers, but more than ev...

Re: Why is a single channel amp inherently better than a multi?

the reason I subscribe to the assumption that a single channel' amp is better than multi channel, is that in a multi channel amps the voicing and dynamic beahviour of the power amp is a compromise between what ideally a clean and an od channel require. This is more true considering hi gain amps. In ...

Ciao Stefano.
I think that here you'll find some italians participants, but IMHO is better to exchange informations strictly in english.
A 5 people italian forum is not that useful to me.

Re: My X10 has begun

rooster, I've a gentleman agreement with somebody that has been so kind to forward me a copy of that schematic. And probably is somebody that is reading us just now. As I told in PM to Arjepsen. I don't have any problem in sharing my own mods. The only problem is that I don't have a scanner and I ha...

Re: My X10 has begun

there are differences, but I have been asked not to publish them. Therefore, sorry but I can't disclose the real schemo.... what i can say is that BTW I have made 3 different amps based more or less on this x10, and I can tell you that for my tastes, the original schematic can be improved quite a bi...

motorized?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aaAGG9qVwQU&feature=related. I know the guy and many italian players are using his stuff. Definitely very rock style oriented. But look at the pots. He uses some motorized rv4. I agree with John Suhr. I am not convinced there is a market for such stuff, but from the te...
