Re: Any love for the 6G15 stand alone reverb?
Thanks for the explanation Steve.
I already have everything, except a reverb tank. I like the way you did yours. I will probably do it the same, I like the naked look a lot.

Re: Any love for the 6G15 stand alone reverb?
I’ve also wondered too. Every YouTube video demo I’ve watched always puts too much reverb on, when demoing.I get sea sick Can you get the 6g15 to have subtle reverb? I have reverb on my vibroverb I built and always have it on 2. I like the slap back sound. Can the 6g15 do this? I would love to have ...

Re: Matchless/Bad cat build thread
thanks for the explanation. It makes sense to me what that setup does.
I built a 6v6 version (my PT's current rating is 138ma that's why i went with 6v6) I only ss have rectifier, I probably wouldnt even need the extra filtering of that 100uf?

Re: Matchless/Bad cat build thread
Martin. Can you explain the purpose of that 100uf cap/5m1 resistor?
You says it’s ss reservoir, I’m not sure what’s that is
Thanks Joe.

Re: Matchless/Bad cat build thread
nice job Marcus: i just finished mine (6v6 version) and I think i will put a 47pf snubber cap on the 2 100k resistors that feed V4.... kinda ragged overdrive, for now i would post a picture but i dont want to hi-jack your thread. we need to get your gain channel up and working Oh also you said = "al...

Re: Matchless/Bad cat build thread
Looking good. I remember real estate was very tight. I did manage to get all in the same size chassis as you have. I didn’t install the half power switch but I did like the tube/SS switch. I like the tube rectifying side more. You’ve got me intrigued again on this amp again. When I first built it I ...

Re: Rocket mods
Hi Mark. Good info.
My rocket also had low voltage at V1. Aaron (Xtian) helped me out with this, like the first picture ( scratchy pots)
Anyways thanks for the info

Re: Choke question.
Hi ya Marcus: I built one of these and used a Hammond 194E 30H Choke. I also used Trainwreck Express iron. So it wasn't a true clone Oh I ended up with 390ohm cathode resistors This amp has crazy gain but the clean channel is very nice. I sold it as I couldn't dial in a sound I liked. but that is ju...

I just googled "marshall 18watt voltage chart" and got a bunch of hits.
It even yielded Steve Luckey's awesome 18 watt PDF with voltages

Re: stackocaps and transformer bolts question
Hi Jim. Is your chassis the standard size for an Express? The stack should fit between the power tranny and the preamp board. I used a 50/50 and a 40/20/20/20 cap cans on my newest Express. You could also use a little board and some standoffs to hold the caps. I don’t know how authentic you want to ...
