Re: Drawing Schematics

This will actually be a good learning experience. I don't know how your kit was wired. If the builder used the alternate wiring shown on the schematic then the schematics will be very close to the same. What will be shocking is the difference in the layouts. This eyelet board is/was used in a number...

Re: Drawing Schematics

That eyelet board looks like it may be from Weber. Could be a Weber kit. If it is then you could get a schematic for it (as well as their layout). You just need to compare layouts of his kits with you chassis and find out what model it is.

Re: 4x6V6 output transformer

I have used 50 watt Marshall iron on several 4X6V6 amps and have never been disappointed with the final outcome.

Should be easy for you to source.

Re: Pics of my Latest Build

Nice work very clean. I also like the cab styling. And +1 on the previous filter cap comments.

But that old Hallicraters receiver is what really blows my skirt up.

CBass you want fiddle I found you fiddle

I thought Reign Wolf had something going on when I first stumbled across him a few years ago. He seemed to have a little bit of all the stuff I liked mixed into a fresh package. Then it just turned into noise and trashing the stage. That's not music thats pop performance art and that equates to posi...

Re: cloth push-back wire

I am assuming that you want the other color for use with the green in a twisted pair for heaters. I ran into this issue with the 18g wire and never found any so I solved my problem by cutting two equal lengths of the green that I would twist for heater use. Before twisting the wires I would take a l...

Re: help needed about resistors

I have used them where MF are indicated in a number of D clones and cant tell the difference between the CCF60 and the currently available RN65. NOS RN65 may be a different story. Your mileage may vary They are my go to resistor for repairs and in builds where the CF/MF is not at issue. Regards Randy

RIP San Diego Electronic Supply

I live in San Diego also I called Manny the other day and got the "We are no longer in Business message" - man was I bummed. He left a phone number you can call for repairs etc. You might give him a call and see where all the parts went. There are a couple places they could show up in El Cajon if he...

Hello Milkman Edit Note: I didn’t see Ken Moon's post. That is the same info as below. Always late to the party. I played around with these modules when they first appeared. They are just Ok IMO. I have attached the files that were made available on their web site that describe a tube driven interfa...

Re: help with a home built amp

I see it now the 4th power tube is over by the preamp tubes. Either had wrong punched chassis or made an error punching this chassis reversed layout.
Good call Mark. As soon as I read your comment it all clicked into place
