Re: Who has Dumble #059 now?

Homelife LLC? Is this likely to be John Mayer? I've done a little more research, yes, it was John Mayer. The Two Rock was the prototype, Serial #1, of the Signature amps. I know John Mayer has probably got cash to spare, but still, you can't just write off $275,000. Good for him for pursuing it I s...

Who has Dumble #059 now?

I saw this on another forum. Dumble #059, 100w Overdrive Reverb, sold through Maverick Music and it appears the owner never got paid ! Click the link for the Court Document. https://www.docketalarm.com/cases/North_Carolina_Western_District_Court/5--14-cv-00061/Homelife_LLC_v._Maverick_International_...

Re: Dumble? What do you think?

Thanks for the input chaps.

Yes, it does say Dumble on the panel.

I've heard on the grapevine here now that the owner knows it's a clone, he just doesn't let on.

Re: Dumble? What do you think?

Ok, thanks guys, I'm glad it's not just me !

This amp is being discussed as the real deal. I hope the owner wasn't sold this as genuine.

Cheers,
Rob.

Dumble? What do you think?

This amp has gone in for repair with a local tech. I haven't been to see the amp in person, but I hope to.

Cheers,
Rob.

Re: Burning Hot deluxe transformer

Just for info, I have a '65 BFDR that I have owned and gigged as my main amp for the last 20 years. It's a 110v amp that I imported, so I run it on a step down here in the UK. My mains tranny has always got really hot. When you said you couldn't hold your hand on it for more than 5 seconds, well tha...

Re: Fender power supply caps and resisters

Thanks everyone for the good advice. I have 3w Metal Films for the power supply in the stock AA165 values, I'll try those to start. By saying the cap at the input to PI, that's the .01 ceramic that's there right now right? I have a Silver Mica .001 which I was going to use during the BF mod, lucky I...

Fender power supply caps and resisters

Hi All, I have a '73 Pro Reverb which is about to get a cap job. The value of the resisters across the 20uf caps under the can, varies from schematic to schematic through the years. The AA165 shows 4700 ohm and 1k. Mine has 10k and 2.2k respectively. These are stock, and the combination does not sho...

Re: Tan Dumble

I was at the show at Holmfirth Picturedrome on Saturday night. I have seen Robben many many times now and I must say this show was up there with the best I've ever seen. The new album is so paired back, clean and relaxed and on the night, that is just how the band seemed to be. Lots of space, very r...

My Dumble Archive

Hi All, I don't post very often, but here is one of the few. Over the last year or two, particularly recently, there have been more and more Dumble's being documented and photographed. My archive of pics began life back in the old days when life was good and things were slow, but now I simply don't ...

Re: 7581A Tubes in Super Reverb

Hi,

I picked up a handy spreadsheet from somewhere years ago.

Just edit the info and it gives you a nice graphic for percentage dissipation.

Re: Bassman 100 help !

Thanks for all the input guys! GibsonMan, those pics are just what I need, thanks for taking the time to do it, much appreciated. So, it seems my friend the bass player has not yet paid for this amp. He approached the seller and asked him about getting it put back to stock and he said he would pay f...

Re: Bassman 100 help !

Schematic Heaven (google it) has the original Fender schematic and layout. They are fairly simple amps to work on. The normal channel on mine is wired like a AB763 Showman and the Bass instrument side is basically stock. I can send you some pictures this evening if you need them. The filter caps ar...
