Re: two rock emerald pro request

already fixed. I know it's an hrm. Anything is much more clear with a schematic, especially when you have to deal with the double voicings on this preamp. The amp sounds well, although not that "magical" as I've read on many comments. It's not the first time I put my hands on two rock amps. But I fo...

two rock emerald pro request

I've been given a 2 rock emerald pro to be serviced. I'm asking if some of you already have a schematic of the amp. without the need to trace it from scratch. As far as I have understood, it's basically a 97 hrm with a reverb added. But I would like to have a confirmation on this, or (hopefully) a f...

Benson Monarch

Sunday I had the chance to test briefly a Benson Monarch Reverb amplifier. I've tried a lot of stuff in my life and usually I prefer Hi powered amplifiers due to their dynamic capabilities. But This amp, with its 15ww 2x6v6 power amp has killed me. Such a warm and rich tone that nothin' both old tha...

Re: Jim Kelly Build

Hello all and a happy new year!.
any idea what would be the proper choice for the OT? i mean, it's quite clear the impedance range, but would the original OT be a bassman/concert or any other similar OT type?
tHanks for any hints !

Re: Replacement Transformers

mr Savino Luce, owner of InmadOut, will do any custom transformer you will require once it has specs compatible with the required dimensions. And the price are really reasonable also for non standard irons. i've bought from him many pieces ( some 100 pcs lets' say) and have never been disappointed. ...

Re: trainwreck trafos brand

I know Savino well enough to say that he is a very good source for irons. They are very good quality overall, fast in the delivery, reasonable in price and Savino is a really kind man. Thumbs up for him. FWIW, i already built some trainwreck stuff with his irons(Custom built) and have been really sa...

Re: Plexi6v6 switchable PPIMV bypass

I'm going to do exactly the same thing on a very nice amp ( think a preamp from a DrZ Carmen Ghia and a power amp from a 50w dumble, equipped with partridge style irons). I'm doing a 2 ch version where the pre is simply doubled and in one case will be direct to the power amp for clean sounds, otherw...

Re: Paul Rivera Fender Concert-II compared to Dumble? YES? NO?

I owned 2 concert II amps over the years. On one of them I've prformed the lee jakson mods as per his dvd instructions that still I have somewhere lying around. In no way, the original Concert II and the modified one as per Lee Kackson instrustions, can resemble a decent dumble schematic. Not that t...

Re: larry carlton new album

I'm sure that some of you already have tried that kind of topology (ripper) in an ods. So what are the experiences/impressions compared to the normal pre arrangements?

larry carlton new album

Hello guys. I was listening to the new Paris concert by mr335 and i'm quite impressed with the sound quality of the guitar. Now, I am quite close to that kind of sound with a completely different setup ( a sort of tweaked cj11 diy , an Ibanez LR10 and a 2x12 with the new g12m65 creamback) But the de...

Re: Energy amplifiers

while the bc amps look really like works of art, the energy seems that are employing only film caps also in the supply. Having done that a few times, I can say it's a major factor ( for my personal taste) in obtaining a superior performance, especially for what is related to the "pick response" of t...

Energy amplifiers

Hello all.
Surfing the net I found these pictures of this amplifier.

http://www.amparchives.com/album/Energy ... 14f_3.html
Anybody knows who makes these amps and if somewhere there is a website related to this guy/company?

Thanks

Paolo
