Re: Rocket and Rectifiers
Gents, I prefer the old Mullard rectifiers myself. I have a buddy who used to work for GT, and he really educated me about tubes. The problem is that ALL currently available recto tubes suck compared to ALL NOS rectifiers. The problem with new recitifers is that they simply don't perform up to desig...

Re: Brad Paisley in Gtr Plyr Mag, talks TW..
Yeah, Chad's a good dude. He used to post a lot on the Dr. Z Forum. But lately, Brad's only using the Z Wreck, which isn't available to mere mortals, and the Z cabinets. He uses the UG30 and the Z Wreck for his clean tone, then switches to Hattie Mae for his lead tone. But the Stingrays and Prescrip...

Re: Brad Paisley in Gtr Plyr Mag, talks TW..
Mark, Where have you seen BP playing all those amps? Every time I've seen him perform lately, he's only been playing the Z-Wreck, the Bruno UG30 and the Liverpool. I've never heard of him playing the EZG-50, Remedy, or the Z-Verb. Thanks, Brad He already has custom amps made such as the Z-wreck, two...

Re: Clip of my Rocket build
That sounds awesome, Mark. I just got my Rocket on Friday, and got to spend about an hour and a half with her. Only used humbuckers so far, but she sounds goooood.

Probably a stupid question...
Hi guys, I have what is probably a stupid question. I was playing my Ceriatone Liverpool yesterday. I finally found a nice tube complement/ speaker combination for it. She really sounded awesome. (I've had mine modded to be more Trainwreck correct...Moose trannies, etc.) Anyway, while playing loudly...

Not that there's anything wrong with that!

I think it sounds fantastic as well. The Rocket might turn out to be my favorite Trainwreck.

How much are the "anti-drawers"?
Are there any color options? Can I get one in plain cherry?

Re: Route 66 schematic question
I'm just totally guessing, but I know that the early Route 66 had a problem with ghost notes. And Dr. Z figured out what to do with the circuit to solve that problem. Perhaps you're looking at an early, and a later Route 66? FWIW, I have a Route 66. I think it's a very sweet amp. Loud sucker though!...

I love it. I remember thinking about marrying my two favorite amps together about a year ago. But I simply wouldn't have the first clue how to do it. Awesome job, Mark.

Re: What speakers do you use with your Trainwreck Express?
Hi Joshua, I have both an Express and a Liverpool. I find both amps to be really bright. However, I've tweaked them a bit. First off, I use NOS Mullard 12ax7 preamp tubes in V1. They're kind of a "darker" sounding tube. Next, I use the same cabinet for both amps. It's an Avatar 212. I'm currently ru...
