Re: Lorlin impedence switch
You could use one of the others.. I think Dana mentioned this one 10WA156 It has a higher voltage rating. And I'm sure their are others that would work. I think it is also adjustable positions. I think this one has a longer shaft, but you can easily cut it to the length needed. Says they are in stoc...

Re: Fender Bandmaster Reverb - 1969 - occasional "pop"
CC type resistors only add there resistive distortion into the tone mix when they have at least 150 volts across them, as such I much preferred to have less hiss / noise from a metal film type resistor esspecially in a high gain build! These jerks that build SS type stomp boxes and tout that they u...

Re: BF Skirted Knobs
Yes,the position of the set screw can also tell the period it came from, and if it used a slotted or hex screw. Sunns, Boogies,Music man, maybe Gibson, and probably a long list amps used similar looking knobs.

Re: Fender Bandmaster Reverb - 1969 - occasional "pop"
Are you running any sovtek preamp tubes in the amp? It is very common to hear 2 or 3 pops when coming off standby, then a pop every now and then using those tubes.
Other things could be CC resistors plate or cathodes.

Re: 2 x 10 Super Reverb Combo
A 2x10 super reverb would be like a Vibrolux reverb :) or sort of a 2x10 version of a Super reverb. A local guy here went through the same thing. When he got the amp it had cut down cab with a 15" 8 ohm speaker. Faceplate faded out and only knew it was a fender. He had played the amp for many years ...

Re: Super Reverb continuing problem
I agree, a guitar with the pickup adjustment set wrong can cause weird out of tune notes and ghost notes, among other things.
So, it could be his guitar and not the amp. If it is the amp, you might go over the ground connections on that second channel. make sure they are clean to the chassis.

Re: Silverface Deluxe Reverb Hum
A good thing to check after a rectifier or power tube failure is the socket. Sometimes the tube will short out and arc between pins. After replacing the tube there may be a carbon track created on the socket. Check to see if there are any carbon tracks between the pins. Yep, and usually it will als...

Re: 18 Watt TMB Build issues
Their are a few type of the new cloth covered wire. And its not easy to use like the old fender type push back cloth wire. The old type you didn't need to strip, just push back the cloth and that was it. The new type has a harder cloth with an insulated sleeve or coating. That usually needs to be str...

Re: 18 Watt TMB Build issues
I know what you are going through, I've had both of my hands done for carpal tunnel, and both operated on for Dupuytren's contracture . The numbness or feeling for your fingers or hand will take a while to come back. yes it is scarry. The Dupuytren's contracture was much worse of an operation. The t...

Re: 18 Watt TMB Build issues
the buzzing, from the pics, it looks like you didn't use the 6.3 CT of the heaters. did you install 2x100ohm resistors in place of the CT? If not add one or the other.. this should make the buzz more quiet. I think the preamp or ceriatone labels the rectifier as the 6.3v and the preamp is labeled Fi...

Re: 18 Watt TMB Build issues
I would make sure you have a good 12AX7 in the preamp section, and also good to have or use shielded cable on the inputs, and also on the grid of the TMB channel, move the resistor to the tube pin. It could also be a lead dress issue.
