Re: Fender Super Six Reverb

There is one guy ahead of me on this amp. He has until Sunday to pick it up. If he doesn't, its mine!!
You are lucky, because it's not me  but I am afraid that you reacted too late to the offer - let's hope that guy is a fool... To desist !

Re: Fender Super Six Reverb

There is a guy nearby selling an old Fender Super Six Reverb in 'average' (his words) condition. The Super Six is 100watts, feeding 6-10" speakers. The price ($300) seems pretty good. Should I grab it? If it was in France, no too far from where I live, for that price (that is to say circa 220 Euros...

Re: Care to have a look at this schem?

Hi pinkphiloyd, I had a look to your schem, and I have the same comments as in the previous posts and some suggestions, based on my experience : R26 should be 1200 to 1500R. Removing the tremolo circuit will increase the overall gain slightly, so you may need an attenuator, which could interestingly...

Re: noise from reverb tank in amplifier head

Well, if you compare the sizes of respectively : - a bandmaster reverb and non reverb heads, - a dual showman reverb and non reverb heads, You will notice that each time the reverb heads are taller than the non-reverb, in order to reduce the induction of the power transformer on the reverb tank, by ...

Re: Mesa Boogie Good Deal?

Hi All, I wouldn't let go my MKIIA Boogie (note : restored/improved) despite its anvil weight and despite that I have 8 other vintage tube amps... If you search : - pure clean tone, - deep and toneful reverb, - smooth and sustained overdrive à la Santana, - the same sound at any level, to cut throug...

Re: speaker break in with sine wave

Hi All, Sorry, I didn't found the "welcome section" of this forum, so here's my 1st post - if there is a welcome section that I didn't saw, please direct me - Thanks ! If you are breaking-in speakers on 50 or 60Hz, the Z may be higher than the nominal 4, 8 or 16 ohms, due to Fs which is very close. ...
