Re: ugh... people sometimes
Hey, I got my user name changed almost immediately after pompeiisneaks took over. That in and of itself is an event I'll never forget! Thanks so much! Mods never get to hear "Thank You!" nearly enough, so I'm glad to see posts like this on this thread. Hell, I was apologizing to clients for taking 5...

Re: Can you increase girth without increasing wattage?
Recently in some A\B testing, the Deizel Herbert (180w) came out on top by only an RCH. But it just had a touch more girth in the same way the Tripple Rec does over the Double Rec. So my Q is, is it possible to overspec the PT to get the punch, or is there a required equal draw (more tubes, higher ...

Re: 1957 GA-8 GIBSONETTE PT WIRING QUESTION
Is this the GA-8 with dual 6V6 tubes, or the GA-8T with the EL84/BQ5 circuit. They use different PT and OT, since the dual 6V6 is single ended Class A, and the GA-8T is push/pull (IIRC).
I have both schematics from Gibson, email me if you need them.

Re: TW Rocket TAG/AM head found...what's it worth?
Right now all of my gear is in boxes, anvil cases or covered. The movers really did a number on mixing up the house stuff with the business stuff, and the house stuff has to be accessible first, or there will be "war in camp" with my wife. Can't say as I blame her. There's some upgrades going on wit...

Re: Marshall Guru's . Help identifying 4x10
Sorry, I've been busy packing up my business and my life to move to Arizona. Looks like you got your question answered on the 4x10 cab, though! I just put a 4x10 together I had in the shop forever. Out with the G10M Greenbacks, in with the 9384 10" Celestions with Pulsonic cones from February 1970, ...

I went with the D-Lite 22/33 kit years ago. That works pretty well.

Re: TW Rocket TAG/AM head found...what's it worth?
So, anyone have a guess as to what this would be worth in the market? I can't find any on eBay, nothing on Reverb, either.
I guess there are Ceriatone versions, but haven't really seen anything else listed.
Let me know if you see anything out there, ok?

Miles, sorry to hear about the accident. Life has a way of doing that stuff. Here's hoping you get to a place you can deal with it and hopefully be ok.

Re: TW Liverpool TAG/AM head found...what's it worth?
Ok, I admit I'm a hoarder. I just found a TW Liverpool head (AM build) with a Tigerwood head cab in my pile of amps. Does that come with a set of clubs? It should come with a club to hit me over the head with! I also found one of my original Plexi Crunch 50w heads in a custom compact head...

My old 67/68 Marshall Queen stack
I've mentioned this old Marshall stack for awhile. Well, I finally dug down into the pile in storage, after I sold off four cabs yesterday and this was the next pair that were in line to get to the shop since I had room. So without further ado or fanfare...1967 slant, 1968 straight. 20w G12M's in to...

I never really bonded with the SLO Soldano amp tone for my style of playing.
