Re: Overdrive Deluxe amp

I'm working on a board layout for this... Can anyone verify the DRRI board dimensions including the mounting holes? If so, I will post here for general use in a DRRI or similar. This should be everything , center to center. Not to scale haha. The 4 outside mounting holes are 3/16" from board edge o...

WTB or Trade for: VVR3 with Bias Tracking

I want one of these. Let me know if you have one you'd part with. Also, I could make sets of boards for just about anything, so if this is your need, maybe we can trade...?

Re: PSA Hammond transformer blowout

I ordered two chokes. Came in about 4 days later, in a mouser box. They look right, no issues. Pleased with the price/purchase.

Anyone else have a Hall VVR 3 with bias tracking that they would sell?

If you're interested, I have a set of plates for one of these. I converted mine to a Rockster years ago and have no need for the plates. In good condition.

Tail resistor... The resistor that bleeds the bias to ground?

Re: One cathode follower, 2 tone stacks

I'm not trying to tell you what to do - I may be misunderstanding, but, I'd use a 0.1µF cap to feed the A side COM of a DPDT relay... A side NO and NC would go to the two individual TSs. Jump NO of the A pole of the relay to the NC of the B pole, then jump from NC to NO. Connect the B side COM to GN...

Re: One cathode follower, 2 tone stacks

could you use a DPDT relay for an extra contact to lift the ground off the mid pot on the stack not in use? You definitely could, but I think you may still get some wave form changes if the tone stack outputs are still connected since the CF still "sees" the load presented by the treble circuit. Pr...

Re: JCM800 2203 Hermansson 5-Stage

Here is a decent start. Build a stock 800 but put .047h output couplers and you need to decide how big the 10k cathode should be at the end when you hear it. 22k with 10u over will rock but maybe a little too much. Add a tube in front. Both stages get gain controls. 1k5/10u 1st then stage 2 is wher...
