Re: TWOROCK 100 WATT CUSTOM ARRIVES! SWEEEETTTT!!!!

So if I get TAG right, he is implying that those of us who build amps wouldn't be able to build one that sounds like his amp?Bullshit. Sorry guy. I have yet to hear any clone that sounds very close to a real Dumble with the excepetion of some Tworocks and older Bruno S 100s. Then you OBVIOUSLY have...

And then sell the Two-Rock to some cork-sniffing retard on TGP, buy an old Blonde Showman or Tweed Bassman that sounds WAAAYYYYY better and pocket the difference...

Re: Slave Box for Rocket

You can easily find the info online to change the speaker level to line level in an Airbrake. It's the same as the line out on a Hot Plate as well.

...some of the best amp tone ever... Wow. Please don't take offense (I realize everyone has an opinion) but that was FAR from "some of the best amp tone ever"! Jesus, turn off that crappy chorus already!!! To me, you could EASILY get that tone with an off-the-shelf Gallien Krueger...WTF?!? When I t...

Re: So, A Trainwreck Rocket Clone...(looking for price quotes)

I also want some kind of mod to give me early break-up but without making a crunchier tone. Uhhh, what? "Break-up" and "crunchier" are the same to me. I think you need to stop concerning yourself with "mods" and just have someone build you a Rocket. Believe me there's PLENTY of gain to be had... Andy

Re: monkey 88 progress

Looking good!

I've used those switches before. If you use solid-core wire it's actually pretty easy to create little "loops" that will slide right on the pins and it's easy to solder them then.

Re: Stancor - Pacific - Heyboer - Marstran - MM - Edcor - Ceria

You might be reading a bit into it maybe RJ. I think the reason the Pacifics now seem to be more "in fashion" than the Heyboers is that they've actually been available now (sometimes) from Allyn when they didn't used to be. Ken used Pacifics for a bit in the Express and Allyn's are to his spec so I ...

Re: Controlling from the guitar with a Liverpool ?

I've noticed that my Strat with the Gilmour EMG set sounds like crap through both of my TWs (Express and Liverpool) and it doesn't react the same as my guitars with passive pickups, I assume due to the low impedance. My Liverpool reacts fine though, just like my Express, with my Les Paul.

Re: Express Bass Amp

The Express can be modded to run as a bass amp...lower power type tube bass sound. The First Express ever built by Ken has a switch to go between guitar and bass. I believe it's a simple preamp change in a cap value. Ummm, I think that's the bright switch. I could be wrong here but I don't recall e...

Re: Post on Les Paul forums Re: New Rockets built on KF's bench

$10,000? That is a price for millionaires, not players. You are correct sir! The average player complains about boutique pricing on amps when they're over $2K. And you think players are going to pay $10K? Good luck with that folks. Just be happy all you cats who use the word trainwreck in your amp ...
