My best sounding ODS amp 50 watt KT77 GEC but I tried the JJ KT77 they sound great.

Matt, Other info power tubes used in the real #183 Sevtlana Winged C There not cheap now. I used a 1968 Dagnal C1998 OPT sounds killer. And play around with bright switch capacitors I used silver Mica 250pf and 500pf with a on/on/on switch middle position sounds like Jimmy Page 250pf Jimmi Hendrix 5...

I'm confused #183 used a PPS no dale resistors. I think the correct name would be high plate high plate 50 watt.

I don't see a filter choke just a 500r resistor how about a top chassis photo.

The trim 250k pot is wired backwards use coax It kind of burns my A$$ I started that extra pot on the back of the amp 10 years ago.

I think I'm loosing it after wiring up the power supply now I have 467 volts B+1 #183 was 465 volts B+1

Well the 1202-118 has only 446 volts B+1 no load

Thank you Dr. Eric and Mark. I'm shooting for 471volts B+1 will see the JTM-45 PT in the other build achieved that voltage.

A photo may help make sure the outside lugs on your 1 meg master volume pot reads 1 meg and check your coax to make sure you don't have a piece or a strand of outer coax
shorting out. And check your ground to the master volume pot. if that's all OK voltage chart your amp

Set your OD trim pot at 24k for starters on the tube side. I have used a 24k resistor then a 250k audio pot on the back of the amp for fine tuning.

This is my 4th ODS build with EL34's So far my favorite is a 50 watt with KT77's
