Re: 5E3x2 or 5E7 Bandmaster?
I can speak for the 5E7 circuit... I have a hard time overdriving that amplifier with single coil pickups. The circuit design calls for 12AY7 in V1, and most sub an 12ax7... and I still have to crank it to ear blistering volumes to get less clean. Jumper cable between mic and inst input and blending...

Re: Selling gear...where to price it?...where to sell it?
pawn shop! j/k Sell the pedals on here... The higher priced items might be better on ebay or reverb.com The owner of my local guitar dealer told me that ebay owned reverb.com or part of it... I couldn't find any information online to support that... I do loathe selling online now.. .there are just t...

impeccable work...
component selection, lead dress, attention to details.. I think the only thing missing is the goop.

Re: Klon at at steal
There's an interesting interview with Bill Finnegan - http://www.premierguitar.com/articles/20210-builder-profile-klons-bill-finnegan I guess every once in a while, he'll produce a brand new Klon Centaur and give the proceeds to help a close friend (single mom) make ends meet. Interesting read!! I l...

Forget the shock risks...
What about the reason guitar pedals aren't made out of clear plexi? You'd be able to hear the background radiation from the big bang... and your cell phone checking in with the nearest cell tower.

Re: TWO ROCK EMERALD PRO REVISITED 5 years later
Yeah, you know I have a Bassman mod from Joe Mlog that sounds killer. I also have a Two Rock Custom Reverb that sounds good... but the Bassman mod is head and shoulders better sounding than the Custom Reverb. Maybe the sloppy wiring has something to do with it... or just all the NTE parts along with...

Re: GFS body questions answered
I have bought a GFS guitar, and my experience is for $200 you get a $250 guitar. Have you guys taken a good look at the "Vintage Modified" Fender Squier series at your local shop? I picked one up the other month... just because I thought it looked amazing for bearing the "Squier" label... nice vint...

Re: A Different John Mayer Rig?
Just saw him at the Gorge Amphitheater. He had his usual two two-rock signatures in a dumble sss sandwich. With the allesandro cabinets. But I believe he does have the largest single collection of Dumble amplifiers. IIRC around 20-30 of them? What's up with the Allesandro cabs? Never played through ...

Maybe this rough drawing will help you get started. I just finished this black cab yesterday using the dimensions in the drawing. That's a mighty nice cab!!!! Can't wait to get it!!! Now I just have to finish up this little soldering project I took on about a year ago. One year of soldering??? that...

Depending on how your HOA is setup. Send him a violation or two... in our HOA, the second violation costs $$$ (penalty). So he doesn't pay, put a lien on his house.

Re: Angry eBay customers..
Take the pedal back, close the issue, and move on. When selling on eBay.... think "demographics" Car stereo? Don't sell it on eBay. Guitar pedal? Don't sell it on eBay... your demographic of buyers are kids who exploit the system and leave you holding the bag. Had it happen on a pedal. Kid swapped t...

And for the record, I was disappointed in my Raytheon Baldwin tubes. I have about 6 of them... YMMV.
