I would do this. Maybe change to an AC coupled cathodyne if not liking the DC coupled cathodyne. Only need 2 resistors and a cap. That's one of two options. The other is hanging it from the OD2 plate.

I built a 6V6 Plexi many years ago. It ran at 440V on the plates (JJs) and used a 7k6 20W Marshall OT. Fantastic sounding amp. I would probably go with the 8k taps.

I’m still going to initially build it with the orange drops that come with the Mojotone small parts kit I have here but I already feel like upgrading to something more “authentic”....
