Re: Pro's, con's and changes to the deep switch?
Hey Mark, My experience is pretty limited with the deep switch but here's my two cents. I never really cared for the clean tones I got from any builds I ever did with a classic tonestack (so I always ended up ripping them out). I think it needs the deep switch for the cleans to shine. One the other ...

The link TM posted seems like a preliminary version. This one agrees with Gary's 1st variant values:

Re: Henry Kaiser's Green Dumble?
Styling suggests a 4th generation classic, but I don't know. AFAIR in one of these four videos Doug demonstrates the influence that the deep switch has on the tone of this ODS. If you listen to this demonstration of the deep switch, you'll probably be able to judge, if it's still the usual deep swi...

Henry Kaiser's Green Dumble?
Not sure if this head has been discussed before (couldn't find anything with search), but I'm curious if anyone knows what's under the hood of Henry's green suede Dumble demo'd here by Doug Doppler: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=34Y3lHpKXWY&feature=related Styling suggests a 4th generation classic,...

Re: Low volume and high voltages in preamp on 183
Yep, I agree with the others - your V1-1 and V2-1 plate voltages are way high. That would suggest you've got 150 or 1500 ohms on those plates (not sure which the 1500 marking indicates). Your tone stack will not function with that low a value of slope resistor wither - most of your signal is just bl...

Re: Speaker enclosure preference.
I have a 1X12 configuration that works quite well with a lot of speakers. It's about 21" X 18" X 12". Solid pine sides, birch ply front and back panel with a 7" X 14" oval opening on the back. Fairly light and resonant. Sounds great for a small cab! Here's a pic with a matching head:

Re: RF @ the Napa Valley Opera House last night.
I'm so jealous! There are so many great/cool venues in the Bay area with all the great acts and tickets are generally reasonably (unlike Toronto, which is a total ripoff for any live music, theatre or sports event )

I hate to pick favorites, but my buds all seem to gravitate toward the high-plate Skyliner and BM amps.

Re: 183 Build Clip
Hi Brian, Sounds Great! Would you enlighten us on the use of the spin reverb? I am contemplating incorporating a similar OCT FV-1 based reverb - yet to purchase- and am having a little trouble getting started in the right direction such as what is required for a carrier board and how to mix the rev...

Re: 183 Build Clip
Thanks gents!
Has a loop, but not a classic Dumblator, rather, a SS loop of my own design - not unlike an IronSounds but with filtering to emulate Dumblator coloring. Using on board reverb based on a SPIN Semi DSP.
Guitar is a Godin. Cab is a 2X12 oval open back with Emi DeltaPro12As.

Here's a short clip of a 183 build I recently completed. I'm really happy with the way this amp turned out. Hope you like it.

Re: Low plate classic build
When I do another run I may offer more for sale to the forum, but managing the special case with no logo is a bit of a challenge. In the future I'll offer them with the Sebago Sound logo so that I can use any that are left over. Bill Nice to see you're appreciating the challenge of managing these t...
