Re: How much should I sell my clone
You might be better off asking this question on The Gear page Forum. Regardless, if its a stock Ceriatone, check Ebay for Completed listings, it will tell you what they have been selling for recently.

Re: Is a Dumblator needed?
Yeah I would have to agree that it's better to at least try one, and see what effect the d-lator has on the sound of your amp, in most cases it will make it more versatile, especially when wanting to get those real phat tones at low Volumes, the D-lator really lets you preserve that "Girthyness" :) ...

Re: An Oldie but a Goodie...
Very kind of you to share your recipe. In the photo, it looks like you still have the same OD entrance circuit- is that true? Nice job. Have a good day Yes, it's a 100k trim pot, 120K resistor and 470k risistor with a 47pf bypass cap. Very smooth amp and really captures the non HRM thing +. And, th...

Re: Help Me Choose a Tube Set with a $600 budget for my SSS
Isn't your SSS 100 watts? The 2rock speaker is 65 watts power handling correct? Just thinking outloud here Todd I think they are rated at 100watts Nope, the Two-Rock ET65 is only 65w's I'd suggest using another one with it or you'll risk blowing the (1) you have if you're using it at high volumes.

Re: Help Me Choose a Tube Set with a $600 budget for my SSS
Assuming there's nothing wrong with the amp, spend your dough on some JJs and EVM 12L's. Thanks for the advice. Lots of love for JJ's here. Thats a good thing. I see alot of people using EVM 12L's for this type of amp. Can anyone speak to the differences between this speaker and the Two Rock Speake...

Re: A Big Thank You to Everyone Here!
MHartman, the amp sounds Great man, great job.
The Full SSS is a Monster of an Amp, and this scaled down version seems like the way to go if you're worried about bringing the Icey Hot,Heat pad and 100lb amp head to a gig.

Re: Gumbo Build Ideas - a lil bit of everything
Hmm, high voltage MM w/ 70's preamp, sounds like it'd be a big clean Monster. I think it'd be interesting to try shoe-horning some reverb in there (But I'm the dreaming type)... unfortunately not doable in a Ce-chassis. Or you could just put a Strymon Flynt in the loop and play some slide. TM I was...

Re: Gumbo Build Ideas - a lil bit of everything
Hmm, high voltage MM w/ 70's preamp, sounds like it'd be a big clean Monster. The CF Driver Tube has this interesting distortion (probably a bad word to describe it, maybe an Odd order Harmonic is better suited) artifact, making the Power amp clean but adding a new frequency to the gambit. Maybe thi...

Re: New build complete: CE Silverface 6V6 HRM
Those JJ83's have lowered plate voltage before for me, as well as some NOS Ge short plates (made B+ drop 10-20v) from what I had documented with a EH or Sovtek 12ax7 . I've had plate B+ of at least 190-195 (+or- 5v pending on what tubes i was using) on V2a/b on HRM's, never got it as low as 180, but...

Re: *New Build Thread* 2nd Gen Hybrid 50w footswitchable FET
Usually most RG-400 cable (can be found at Air Craft Surplus stores) will usually be around 75ohm per foot, so you have to do the math and figure out how much highs you'll want to roll off by calculating how many Feet of RG-400 cable will equal the amount of your simulation capacitor. RG400 cable i...

Thanks for that Greg. Sorry if this has been discussed before but how does the shorting jack arrangement work and what value cap would you use? Check out this thread/page, might point u in the right direction. http://ampgarage.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=18453&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=105 You c...

Re: *New Build Thread* 2nd Gen Hybrid 50w footswitchable FET
Thanks for that! I was thinking about using this amp with a dumbleator. Is this common practice and if so presumably one would have to put a bright cap across both the clean master and the OD master? You can use a 68pF bright cap on each Master (If there are seperate Master Vol) and then use a Shor...

Sorry I'll clarify, the later 150w SSS's measured @ around 135v (Not the 100w Classic low plate derived amps)
