Re: buying NOS tubes
In addition, and some people will think I'm crazy but I'm a believer in using tube dampers on V1 of a Wreck. I've tried lots of different nos glass and found a few that worked well in v1 but after a few days they went micro-phonic. I started putting a couple of o-rings on since then and have not had...

Re: Scratchy Pot
Nice clean work David. I'm really surprised that this happens with sealed pots but it does. Glad you got it fixed.

Re: Scratchy Pot
I went through the same thing with a build one time. Volume worked fine for a couple of months then started getting scratchy. I eliminated everything else first since it was a sealed P.E.C. I ended up carefully drilling a small hole in the side and shot it with some cleaner and it cleared right up. ...

Re: Ceriatone Expression Tranny's... What are they? + Mods?
Promethius is in Malaysia, thank you for the pointer... I missed it the first time around. I do travel that part of the world occasionally and I actually visited Ceriatone on one of my stays in Kuala Lumpur last year. Nik wasn't around but a real nice guy named Sung showed me around. I played throu...

Re: Ceriatone Expression Tranny's... What are they? + Mods?
The info on the Promethius Transformer Company website was interesting, thanks for posting that up. It doesn't say where they are located and since Ceriatone is in Malaysia I am going to guess that Promethius is probably somewhere in that part of the world as well. I could be wrong but shipping eco...

O.k., I'm thinkin' that you should buy American, The Job You Save May Be Your Own. Start with one of Allyn's excellent chassis. Use Moose / Tonselut iron (Heyboer). Allen has extra trannies every so often, even Pacifics.J +1 Ceriatone Expression Tranny's... What are they? Ceriatone gets there trans...

Re: Brand New Trainwrecks?
Anyone here care to speculate (as per the article) what the "Five Laws of Electronics" are? 1. Resistance to buy this bullshit should be exercised. 2. One does not have the capacitance to comprehend this crap. 3. Being shocked one too many times can obviously make you a retard. 4. The pot should be...

Re: redpalting...need suggestions please
I apologize If I missed something here since I skipped over some of the posts. Does this only happen when it's cranked? Any chance that you have the 82k and 100k plate resistors reversed?
