As Ritchie mentioned, there might need to be a slightly larger opening ...

Re: Structo?????
Tom,
I know that this is a hard road that you've been set upon- but you can beat it. The human brain has an enormous ability to reconfigure itself, and you will do it.
You thoughtful insights and steady hand are sorely missed here on TAG. Stay strong brother!

Re: New Trainwreck chassis' coming soon via RJ
I don't necessarily, but some do. My guess is that these new chassis will be much more like what I'm used to.
I've seen RJ's chassis, they're fine, but I thought some of your improvements might be better. Not sure.

Re: New Trainwreck chassis' coming soon via RJ
Jelle, given the difficulty in finding an IEC plug punch and Or all the manual labor involved in cutting one by hand- can you offer an optional version with and without the IEC?
I know "real" wrecks don't use them, but some may really like them better.

Re: Tube amp for acoustic electrics
Most acoustics with factory pickups have on-board preamps, and some systems have multiple pickups of different types. Taylor's system can go direct to a mixer XLR input using a TRS to XLR cable. To your point, best to find out what this guy is using. Very good idea, I will see what his custom made ...

Tube amp for acoustic electrics
Anyone have ideas on an existing or suggested design for this application? A friend is a typical bar solo guitar player / singer who wants something better than aa Fender Acoustasonic, etc. Many thanks in advance!

Re: How a carpenter says
What this really says is:
-I have more time than you'll ever have
-I have a shop that none of you could dream off owning, and:
- I have woodworking skills that you'll never possess (at least I never will)

The tolex stuff is fairly straight forward, but it was the techniques on grill cloth that really taught me something.

Re: Help with doing nice grill (or regrill) job
There's a guy out there named Rick Johnson selling a video of how he does both tolex and grille cloth, it's very informative and worth the cost.
