Ron,great looking build.I will be building a Rocket myself as soon as parts start showing up.Where did you ground your Filter caps?I noticed it was different than the rocket layout.Did you just ground to one of the choke lugs.

hey thanks for the input.I have all tubes lit now but volume is whisper quite and nasty sounding.When i plug in the bulb limiter and start adding tubes the bulb limiter gets brighter as i add tubes.So still a problem somewhere. I get 6.3v on heaters 1st 100uf 216v 2nd 100uf 440v 3rd 20uf 438v 4th 20...

If I turn it on with just pre-amp tubes,they light up.If I add power tubes none of them light up.

I just checked heater wires come off the jewel lamp.1 side I get 6 volts the other side I get like 0.020volts. hmmm.It 's frustrating..

Hey thanks,I did as you described and it was a bad preamp tube in the PI.
I had gone through and replaced tubes so I thought.I ended up pulling one JJ and Put it back in thinking it was a new one.To many tubes on the bench.
