cathode bias

There is an editable schematic here (if you have ExpressSCH program downloaded which is free): http://www.el34world.com/Forum/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1163855375 The 1484 has the vibrato tied into fixed bias, so you would have to change that. It's possible to make the amp cathode biased. However, I think y...

6BM8 Little Wing amp

You will need ExpressSCH to open the files but there are a number of 6BM8 concept amps here: http://www.el34world.com/Forum/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1195825729 http://www.el34world.com/Forum/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1194702099 Having said that, I have built 14 amps and the Little Wing Reverb (mini- Bassman with 6...

amp cradle

I did something fairly similar in using Lowe's and Home Depot to build this one for about $30. It adjusts to fit both the length and width of the chassis.

18w D'Lite

Normster, Man, that is a nice looking amp! Great job with it. It looks like you used a rectifier tube with it? Correct? I don't have any plans to build this amp, but was pondering what a D'Lite front end might be like with an 18w power section. I would NOT expect it to sound like a D'Lite but was th...

18w EL84 D'Lite??

Been reading about the Dumble and D'Lites for sometime now. I've seen versions that have been built with 6V6, 6AQ5, 6L6 & EL34 tubes.

Has anyone built an EL84 version? Could you direct me towards a schematic and/or layout of one?

Thanks, 10thtx

inexpensive amp cradle

I built this one in a couple of hours for under $30. I recently used it with a build involving hammond trannies which are somewhat tall. It can unbolted to be moved further apart by using another wood block as a cross support. It has a decent center of balance and was stable to use. http://s28.photo...
