Re: Building a HiFi amp
I've used both the MX-110 and PAS-3X with a full double throw down vinyl setup. I found the McIntosh to be pretty flabby compared to the Dynaco. Just saying. If you are going to have a CD only setup it probably doesn't matter what you use for source and tone control. It's more important to pay atten...

Defy gravity. [img:500:411]http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd319/mailcmw/getalookatthis/cwglt080416-gravity-theory.jpg[/img] It takes a lot of trees to make the wind blow. My biggest bucket list item, now that I think of it, is to actually BE there, carefully hidden in the forest when the tree f...

Hang in Phil old buddy. I came to this exact place when I put my two friends down within 6 months of each other a few years ago. We're all dog people here I think.

<snippity>Yup--the white noise <snip> Mine has a high pitched whistle along with it. Mine has these little teensy ringing bells. Real high pitch tinkling like somebody beating on a cowbell about the size of a dime. No, the size of a pencil eraser...no maybe a bell like the size of a gnat maybe. Wha...

I've started three different airplanes. Two scratch built. Never finished those. I'm gonna finish this kit Zenith CH701 if it's the last thing I ever do. Get a 911 of some kind. Like about an '80 SC. Yeah, that's enough. I'd rather have about a '92 Mondial though. We'll see. That one may still happe...

What's a few extra chassis holes? Not such a big deal. Consider this: Those extra chassis holes are a badge of honor. They prove you kept working at it until you achieved perfection. No-extra-chassis-holes could be interpreted as a sign of laziness. I happen to agree strongly with this here....

Well Tom, let me put it like this. You know how you always feel just a little smarter after drinking a few beers? Well that's the way moving up to Mac makes you feel.

I read a book once about headhunters in the Venezuela rainforest. The author got out there amongst them. Living off the land. Traipsing through the forest; lost most of the time. He was talking to an old timer about his early years when he enjoyed killing his neighbors for sport and profit. The inte...
