Re: Looking for d'lite 22/33 Documentation
So what are the general thoughts on 50W vs 100W 6L6 then? Anyone tried one with KT77 tubes? Those are supposed to be a great mix of 6L6 and EL34 tones. My 183 has Gold Lion KT77's. TM How do you like that vs the EL34's? It should have some better bottom-end and smoother highs? Honestly, I never did...

Re: Looking for d'lite 22/33 Documentation
What's the general consensus on these builds? Do they sound "authentic?" Ideally, I'd like to do a build that I can switch between 6L6 and 6V6 with just a tube change and re-bias. I this plausible? 20-ish watts seems to be about my wheelhouse for the majority of the places I play. Well, I guess I t...

Re: WTB: ODS transformer set
Tone Merc, translate this if you don't mind: "470 -500 volts on the plates and stronger HT secondary is not a Tweed Bassman." When I've worked on original '59 era Bassmans, 5F6-A, the voltages have been high on the plates. 495-503VDC (at 122VAC) seems a norm. The Fender schematics are not accurate ...

Re: Ceriatone OTS Mini Build Help
It's not the newbie part, it's the Nik/Ceriatone part. Try a search for those sentiments. Well it's kind of a newbie part. A "Hi!, I'm Joe Blow from Lower BF Egypt and I bought the cheapest dreck kit I could get, why don't it work?", would go a long way. If Nik had to take time and energy and money...

Re: Looking for d'lite 22/33 Documentation
IIRC, this was the one latest full feature versions, works for 22/33 and 22/44.

Re: Did JJ 6V6 tubes ruin my amp?
The JJ 6V6 is a pretty robust tube, but anything is possible. I ran a matched pair from Tube Depot in a test circuit at 580V plates/290 screens and they survived.

Re: How much is the FET input actually used?
I love the FET with the early circuit with the funky OD entrance. The later circuits I can do without it. Athough, I do like the FET in my 183 build as it has a low gain 4416A, which works well with both humbucker and single coils as its a nice clean boost.

CW, I have used that TO40 in a few builds and I think that iron would be a decent choice for that build.

Re: New Build: Ceriatone Replica OTS 50W
2. The OT hole is not quite large enough. Needs about a 1/8 inch on each side removed to fit. Should I find a CNC shop to try and do this? Any suggestions? Ceriatone, in many cases does not use a PT with an inside end bell. Thus, the chassis cutout is smaller. Personally, I would not cut on the cha...

Re: Overdrive Deluxe - Fake?
I love a good mystery. I found the amp for sale and I see two photos of the back of the amp. In the corner shown, I do see some text that is either etched or scratched onto the chassis. I may have confirmation bias but I see what looks like a "D" and an "Ho" You'll have to zoom in on the image to s...
