Re: Still offering transformers?
I know this is a very old thread, but I can't seem to get a response from Moose. I emailed through the Toneslut website and sent a PM. Does anyone know if he's still supplying transformers, and if there's some other way to contact him? It's been a week since my first email. Should be. I ordered min...

Re: Shielding for inside of head cab
I got a roll of aluminum flashing at home depot. Phil This is what I used. Used a paddle bit in my drill press to make clean holes for the chassis mounts (for the bottom piece). and just use a good staple gun to hold in place. Score it with a razor knife then break it to get the size you want. USE ...

I'm still new to building, but my first advice is try a bunch of different tubes! Tubes can be very finicky!

Not enough to bother the amp. DC30s are supposed to be very reliable and toneful amps. I don't own one, but I like them.drhulsey wrote:That's a cool visual effect, but how much extra heat is produced INSIDE the chassisbrownnote wrote:The control panel is back-lit.

It was a good story, up until you bought the V. To me guitars and amps are never investments.

Re: how much does it cost you to build an amp?
Speaking of word of mouth... I had one OCD customer who thought I was taking too long with his amp, so he smeared me all over the net (including a bad Harmony Central review). The impact of his actions are still dogging me. Ironically, he recently emailed and asked if your relationship was so soure...
