LC and RF on Tommy Emmanuel. Have you heard?
Guys I'm a big fan of all three. Could someone tell me if both LC and RF used Dumbles on the tracks they played on? And if RF used the later amp on this album? How do you get that tone? - it is really different from his earlier records. Or was it some other pedal or amp? But of course, the tracks th...

Trannies and PCBs
Funk,
I'd like a set of trannies (PT, OT and choke) and the PCBs.

Re: Build 124?
Guys remember that the OT on #124 is slightly different from what is current out there.
The OT looks like it is 1300CT, whereas those replacements out there are 2000CT.
I'm not quite sure what the mismatch does to the tone. Maybe that's why the circuit is so different.
Anybody care to comment?

Re: Build 124?
what trannies did u use it with ?Normster wrote:Well, sort of. I built a tube rectified 6V6 with #124 preamp values. Very good sounding amp with lots of tonal variation. Nice crunchy breakup and cleans up well with guitar volume rolled back.

From some of the pics of his 80s amp, it seems to be 6L6s. Anyone can confirm this?

Re: Speaking of cheep
Haven't tried the vice method, but they are exactly 1/4". If you have solid 1/4" shaft pots, they won't work - they'll only work with knurled shafts.

Anybody done a TUT-Reverb-A-Loop???
I'm considering trying out a TUT loop with a reverb - something like Gary's Glaswerks Reverb-A-Loop.
I know for the reverb part, I could tap from the FX send, but for the return, where should I insert it back? Right at the grid of the Return triode?

The white with stripes were the ones I got. Some of them missing screws, one was dirty.

Re: Speaking of cheep
Guys, beware, I got a pack or two of them chicken knobs and jewel lamps and jewel lamps before it was discovered on this forum. The brass inserts in the knobs are milled for exactly 1/4" POT shafts - there's no allowance for adjustments even though there's a screw inserted. Some of the jewel lamps d...

I'm curious as to how it is possible to do a loop with half an 12AX7 tube.
