Input jacks for thick faceplates

Working on a rocket type build. I have wood faceplate. I have the long necked switch craft plugs but does anyone use a non grounding jacks.
Is there a long necked neutric or cliff type jack. it needs to be .375 or better in neck length.
Thanks Bill

Re: My first face plate.

BAM!!! Nothing fancy. Inkscape. Cut a piece of poster board down to print on and then just printed on my inkjet. And I've seriously decided I need a new printer. Anyway. Not bad for a first attempt. Don't laugh at the ghetto-ass cradle I threw together to build with. Head cab is ordered. Edit: For ...

Re: Tightening bass in Fender blackface

Ok so after following along over a long period. Im confused about everything that was done. Any chance of a schematic being done or should I just re-read everything again. Man it sucks being old and forgetfull. (LOL). Im not after this tone myself but I do love a good study and comparison of the dif...

Re: Tightening bass in Fender blackface

The 1uf right there definitely remove some bass alot actually you could try it and see if you like. But without doing the math your cross over frequency with a 1.5k resister will be in the 160 to 200 hz range low e is around 82hz . So might be way to far.

Re: Tightening bass in Fender blackface

Start with V1 has the most effect. Then modify down the line. I wouldnt go past the first couple pre amp stages. it seems everything your quoting from Diaz is going a 180 from were your trying to get to.
just my 2 cents.

Re: Amp Chassis Cradle

I have 2 already but you guys have some really cool designs here.
Bad thing is if I build another. I will have 3 amps going at the same time not just 2.
Shit I better rethink this. (LOL).

Re: Cameron Marshall Mods

Hey I learned from one of the best ^^^^ Amongst many things, one of things that Miles told that that really stuck, concerning dividers, staging, peaking, etc was that "many things work, everything's a bit different, and it's all good" . I like that as a philosophical approach, as it really got me to g...

Re: Cleaning up an Express' act

Just to touch bases on this. Not many people use this as a tweaking point but differant voltages across the preamp tubes have a big differance on sound . Adjusting those are an under utilized sound changer to your preamp.

I would think how the 12bz7 is set up it would be a very quiet 1rst stage even paralleled like that. Please tell your thoughts.
