Re: Do not order from Wattstubeaudio
Had some similar issues with Ken/WattsTA a while back, I got on the phone with him and used some strong language, 4 letter words and lots of "unacceptable" - but I did eventually get my order. He nicely explained he doesn't stock everything , somethings are "special order" and some off the Metalwork...

Re: Yet another Dumble type amp being marketed
Where were these pics of the boards from ? Lance posted them up on Facebook, I was shocked to see that posting, even more shocked to see the wide use of carbon comp resistors in a d-style amp, which are vastly not built with carbon comps.. Then again maybe thats part of the "groundbreaking new tech...

Re: Yet another Dumble type amp being marketed
The RetroWreck did have problems- which is why it likely went away, and that "Hail Mary" throw making fuzz faces and mark 2 fuzzes was incomplete- (another one rides the bus) I met lance @ Namm, along with the Asterope cable guys (another scandal story there :P) Anyway Lance and the Asterope guys we...

Re: Yet another Dumble type amp being marketed
A year or less is very accurate- especially with the established competition! The Dumble-amp community is way more demanding from a specifications/options angle than the Fender/Marshall world - and you can't mass produce amps when every customer is after something different! How far can you go on 1 ...

Re: Yet another Dumble type amp being marketed
Vid sounds good. Lance is a good player so pretty much anything he plugs into, he'll extract good tones - no doubt there- who knows whats happening post editing. As for "New Design" no- sorry guys. Wish people would stop bullshitting their marketing and also come up with something ACTUALLY new... Ag...

Re: Vox Berkeley III SS amp, need schematic or advice
Just reworked a Berkeley II about 2 months ago and sold it to a friend with a note saying (when/if this amp dies - it burns in my yard- no questions. :D .) What a pain in the butt, the pcb's in these old vox just disintegrate when you apply heat to desolder components and thats only if you get the m...

solved.
After much confruckstrations on this, I decided to go cross reference the marshall book.. The schematic I was working with was laid out for 6550 operation but not labeled as such.. (bias values different..) the amp is/was right. Its just I didn't know I had the wrong tubes in, because I foolishly tr...

Re: JCM 800 2204 Voltage "mystery"...
all voltages are within spec as posted in the schematic..
just checked the choke (fine..)
screens at 470V (withing spec of 464 in schem...)
the mystery continues.

JCM 800 2204 Voltage "mystery"...
Working on a JCM800, all the voltages are present and correct in the psu, bias is @ 10 ma (should be around 36), replaced the bias pot, 15K, 47K, both 10uf/100V, (shotgun'd the whole bias circuit minus diodes..) have the right voltages too, even see the right voltages on all pins @ power tube socket...
