Although voltages are different, both the Express Schematic and Voltage Chart listed in this thread indicate a 15-18Vdc difference between the OT c/t voltage and the screen-grid voltage feeds. This would not be the case if a choke were to be used and I'm wondering if this voltage difference could be...

What is the purpose of the three series diodes to ground off each of the power tube plates in the Express ? Is this soley for clipping (2.1Vdc threshold) ?
