Re: A 1959-ish 10W PP Class AB with 6K6s
I recently built a single channel inspired by the 6G3 deluxe using 6K6GT’s. I used Edcor iron. http://www.ppwatt.com/node/18343 http://www.ppwatt.com/node/18344 6K6-GT GE Datasheet.pdf I ended up rewiring the amp recently to utilize a 6G6B style tone stack. I love it now. http://www.ppwatt.com/node/...

It’s my understanding that the baffle is attached on only 2 opposing sides.
Seems like it would rattle if left truly floating in a rabbit groove.

Re: 2x12 Speaker cabinet for JM sig and plexi
I have a 1x12 w/ oval cutout back panel loaded w/ an WGS ET65—it sounds great with everything I’ve thrown at it. I do not have a plexi style amp. The 18watt sounds great.

Re: How to clean motherboards?
How do you dunk it if you are reworking/modifying a previously constructed amp?… I really try not to remove an already installed board to rework it let alone clean it.

My take on the trend, higher voltage translates roughly to cleaner louder, generally useful to marketing regardless of whether it sounds better.

Re: #40 resistor choice
Nice looking build. I just read through the last many posts… I know it’s too late to be relevant, but with regard to cutting metal, I discovered using a circular saw with the blade in backwards worked amazingly well for cutting old corrugated metal roofing—cut through it smooth, like butter.
