Ok, great, just deleted the Zeners from my order.
Thanks

Re: Epiphone Pacemaker 50T PT short
Part of the criteria is the heater current at about 1.5Amps - Yes?
6X4 - 600ma
6AQ5 - 115ma peak cathode x2
6EU7 - 300ma x2
I wish the original PT was still avail, this is elusive.

Re: Epiphone Pacemaker 50T PT short
At Edcor a standup, XPWR105 - 360V@250mA CT & 6.3V@3A. I did talk to them and I don't see why this PT would not be just about right for this amp. What is lacking? It has the correct voltage with plenty of current capability and the 6.3v winding has 3A, more than enough to handle these tubes. Or am I...

Re: Epiphone Pacemaker 50T PT short
Given that what do you make of my selection at Edcor? It's between the unit that has two 6.3v windings and the unit with a single 6.3v and very close on the Secondary Voltage.

Re: Epiphone Pacemaker 50T PT short
At Edcor a standup, XPWR105 - 360V@250mA CT & 6.3V@3A. might just be the ticket. I would take Steve's advice and put the PT in the cab and run wires up to the chassis in a protective sleeve. It's about $125 shipped. Just about to pull the trigger.

Re: Epiphone Pacemaker 50T PT short
Hi Max, mount holes are 2"x 2.5". Chassis cut out is 2"x1.75"
Sorry if this is basic, can you explain the difference between 180-0-180 and a 350Vct. Is the 180-0-180 also a CT?

Then there is this?

Re: Epiphone Pacemaker 50T PT short
So that 270DAZ puts B+ closer to 200, might be just fine, has enough current capability. You think this is the best option?

Re: Epiphone Pacemaker 50T PT short
Both PT's owner brought over are shorted. Back to square one. I am thinking just go for the hammond and be done with it. Appreciate all the follow up, clearly no hurry at all on this. We'll get it done.

Re: Epiphone Pacemaker 50T PT short
Still trying to source a PT for this Amp. Owner has this PT, but I cannot find any info. Might you know what this is. It has the usual black primary, red/redyellow plate connections for rectifier, and yellow leads for Rect. (I assume) and green leads for 6v no center tap. I doubt the heater winding ...

Yes, tried that approach as well. This seam Kote stuff works so well, I am trying to replace this old tube of it.

Speaker repair- seam sealer
In some instances I have been able to do small tear repairs to speakers with a stuff called K-Kote seam Sealer Kanyon industries. It works quite well with very thin tissue, like what you get with a shirt or sweater as packing. I can no longer find this item and I wonder if anyone out there knows the...
