Ceriatone Express has landed
Hi Chaps, Had to post about my great experiences with Nik and Ceriatone. Nik answers EVERY email, he's great to deal with and knows how to ship amps (read: I didn't get stung for import or duty). The amp was delivered to my office a couple of hours ago, great packing job, the amp is perfect in every...

Re: Francesca's knobs
Hi Chaps,
Thanks for that. I did a search here: http://www.rs-components.co.uk/ for that part number and manufacturer and found them.
RS Stock no. 2508471961
I have a good friend with an account so I'll ask him to order them for me.
Thanks again,
Rob.

Re: Transformers - What & Where?
Is the Toneslut Power Transformer available with a 240V Primary? No, Toneslut PT primary is 120v only. I'm in the UK (well, Isle of Man but lets not split hairs  ) and have just built an Express using Nik's Power Transformer, chassis and boards and toneslut (rather than Ceriatone) Output tran...

Re: Transformers - What & Where?
Hi, I have just pulled the trigger on a Nik Express, very helpful chap, and should be shipping in a week or two. I'm really getting into this style of amp since getting my Fuchs Train 45 and I'm hoping I'll build one later on too. Here in the UK it's handy not to have to use a step down transformer....

Re: NOS Mullard EL34's !!!!!!
Hey Rob, According to my math this is $300.22 USD for the pair. Any idea what shipping would be to the States? Do you still have my old Lentz S, or did it move on to greener pastures? :) Yes, shipping would be £10 for two or four valves, makes no difference. Shipping would be via the Post Office In...

Re: NOS Mullard EL34's !!!!!!
So......he believes they are xf2 production, I'll check that when I see them (I'm getting three pairs). He will be keeping some back, probably 5 or 10 pairs but that will leave at least 17 pairs available. The price is £160 per pair, tested up and matched. He has an AVO valve tester, so I've asked h...

NOS Mullard EL34's !!!!!!
Hi Chaps, I just got off the phone with a good friend who tells me that he has just bought 60, yes 60 !, NOS Mullard EL34's !!!! These aren't the reissues, these are the real deal old stock. I have already reserved a couple of pairs, but we haven't been able to talk about prices as he keeps getting ...

Re: Index of Dumble Pics
Hi, Are you the current owner of #33 ? The pics of that amp on my site were actually taken by me at my old house perhaps 10 years ago. The amp belonged to a friend of mine. I helped him ship the amp to Japan when he sold it. It would be nice to know the story of the amp after it left here... please ...

Re: My first post here. Speakers for Trainwreck inspired amp?
Rob, I bet you'll enjoy the 70th Anniversary Celestions just fine - I have a pair of 2x12's loaded with them, and they have beeen my main gigging cabs for quite a while... At anyrate, it's hard to beat a Celestion as your starting point for a rock lead tone... And yes, I prefer a closed back cab. G...

Re: My first post here. Speakers for Trainwreck inspired amp?
Thanks guys for the input. Dave, the only Marshall cab I own at the moment is this '70 basketweave model 1988 which is being converted to 2x12 for my new amp. The last 4x12 I owned was a '70 basketweave with 25w pre-rolas and was probably the best 4x12 I've ever heard. I doubt that any 4x12 could so...

Re: The Gear Page Bruno thread blowup?
Rob, good to see you here , I found your site a long time ago when scouring the net for Dumble info. Are you at the Colne Blues festival later this year ? I'm in Leeds - just finishing a prototype 50Watt ODS build at moment after lots of help from a few people on the Dumble discussion forum - one i...

My first post here. Speakers for Trainwreck inspired amp?
Hi Guys, Nice forum you have here. Yesterday I pulled the trigger on an Express inspired amp, it will be with me soon. I intend to use the amp with a '70 Marshall basketweave cab, model 1988. This was originally a compact 1x18 cab, but they convert beautifully into a vertical diagonal 2x12. I could ...

Re: The Gear Page Bruno thread blowup?
Hi Chaps, I know which amp your are talking about here. I too have pics of the inside of that Super 100 but have never posted them anywhere as I don't get into that kind of thing. Anyway, the amp belonged to a good friend of mine AND I heard this amp gigged, with a great band and my friend is a grea...
