Re: Troubleshooting buzzing
I'm sorry I can't help you beyond mentionning that whatever you meant by "buzz", it most likely is "of type signal/noise ratio", that is independent of the "low output" thing you mentionned - yet more audible as the output volume increases. I even had noise issues when following the "conventional wi...

Re: Dumble Aluminum Trim Question
Well, actually I know what a table saw is, but I was lazily looking for details, about the blade you should use for aluminium, notably. I've been told you can machine aluminium with a router and woodworking bits but I'm not sure the same applies with any saw blade. I should have been more specific b...

Re: Dumble Aluminum Trim Question
What bothers me most is how to make such clean & precise cuts? Nice cab, by the way ... 8) Thanks! If you’re concerned about making clean precise cuts of aluminum trim, please know I didn’t use anything fancy. It was simply a hack saw with a bit of patience and extra care. I did a practice cut and ...

The first Fender Deluxe?
Whose schematic is this?
I couldn't find anything prior to the 5A3, whose supposed schematic (according to ampwares) shows a 5M grid leak resistor on input - if I read well

Thousand thanks!
Did you really made for an 0M grid leak resistor option on input?
I don't think that would be sustainable...

Re: Incandescent light bulb ban
They've been banned from Europe for a few years now and I can still buy some in the shops, and vacuum tubes too. Big propaganda and not much to make for its application in the "real" world - here, at least, but you know France ... :? (kind of bashing which would have made me temporarily banned, some...

Re: Remember those non-stick turrets from ten years ago?
Corrosion will occur everywhere but where the solder is - due to the tin, as far as my understanding goes - so the connection may remain safe. NB I have some paste to do tin coating with, so you should be able to find some too. Not sure if that would require heating a lot the turrets, though ... :? ...

Re: Express/ Liverpool Cold Clipping Mod
Thanks for summarizing "things" ... 8) If you don't mind one question from an ignorant: how about that tone control? Not sure what you're asking , it's an alternative to the standard TMB tone control Thanks! I'll have to study how that behaves. Seems that you are satisfied with it, at least.

What's the coating on these: zinc-plated, instead of tin?
If that is, make a necklace with dozens of these on a copper wire and use that as an anode within a bath of HCl for a few hours, maybe?

Re: Tweed Deluxe inspired thing
Any thoughts but you seem to be one of the most knowledgeable members of this forum, hence pretty capable of knowing what you want to achieve and how to do it? I'll tend towards a tone control as usual, possibly more versatile, but maybe your question was something of that would be most lossy and th...
