Re: New SLO 100 clone

Never worked on them after that post. I moved right when covid hit so had to go through covid illness plus the move. 3 years later I did unpack every amp and parts so maybe this winter I can build the SLO.

Re: Mercury Magnetics issues?

I have never ordered from them because there are or were many other lower cost but high value transformers to choose from.

Colossal has given me some Mercury Transformers and they sound good.

Re: Looking for a Komet 60 kit

Heyboer has the Komet 60 transformer set.

The chassis by Allyn Meyer was the best but rjguitars.net made some as well.

The other parts should be found easily.

Re: Correct Size Knock Out Hole Punches

I use Belton sockets so for 12AX7 I ordered 18.6mm off internet and .30mm for the octal socket.

Many other types of sockets are larger and the Greenlee knockouts can be used for those or a step bit.

Re: Cesar Diaz cd100 scheme

I don't have a schematic for the CD100 but did build a Diaz PT-20 a few years back based of pictures of a friend's amp. It's was just a Fender Deluxe Reverb with boost switching. Looking at pictures of the CD100 it appears to be a Fender 100w reverb with pull boost on treble knob, pull cut on the ba...

Re: output section for small venues - JCM800

Your opening post was about low wattage JCM800.

I build a JCM800 2 EL84 combo that is loud and has seen a lot of usage by it's owner.

Re: Fairfield County Signature (Two-Rock JM Sig) Build Thread

Ryan, regarding your pt 2 latest video on straightening buss wire.

Use a drill with one end of buss wire in drill and other end hold wire with a pliers. Then twist the wire straight.

That Hammond would be a nice transformer and cheaper per Hawk site.
