Re: I KILLED IT... (neg feedback)
Could your NFB resistor value be way off? Way too small --> Lotsa feedback/cancellation --> lower output?

Re: FedEx lost shipment
Got my notice from Fedex that my Weber order was sitting at my door at 3:44 pm. I am at work until 4:30 drive across town to pickup wife then across town to pickup grand daughter and then home. The package is not there! So now comes the chasing down the lost package and re-imbursement process. :evi...

One important piece of insight you don't want to overlook - trainwrecks are ladies. Beautiful, fierce, angry ladies. Naming one Zeus will at best confuse her, and at worst, drive her to destroy herself, and possibly the world.

Woah, Dimebag and John Lennon, same day, albeit 24 years apart? Not that there's really any woah. I'm too tired to be attempting thought.

Re: Bypassing Plate resistors
Well I find it hard to detect a 3dB change. Other people probably have better hearing than me. Could well be. The sensitivity depends on where in the audible band the dip is. We hear much better in the midrange. It's also further affected by how loud the sound source it is as our ears respond diffe...

Re: Bypassing Plate resistors
a -3dB rolloff (which is about the minimum amount of vol reduction the human ear can detect/distinguish) Respectfully, -3dB is not the minimum audible difference detectable. It's certainly not a large audible difference but most people can easily hear 1 or 2 db changes unless they're in a fairly no...

Re: Swamp Thing Amp
I haven't recorded any of my amps and I sure do need to do that. But getting my friend over is not easy and I hate handling the recording end of things, he has to do it for me. I'll do the guitar playing but he can run the recording equipment. :) Mark I'd be willing to help some time, I know a thin...

Re: Moving Target
Single coils before they go thru a 250K pot are lowish impedance, but the output impedance of a magnetic pickup is frequency dependent and the math gets pretty complex. But the complex math only makes life simpler ;) As to the question about input transformers, we don't use them in guitar amps (at ...

You should check out McMaster-Carr as well, see how their price compares.
