Re: Site work over the next 24-48 hours
Oh it is, I'll need to get the software updated, and the old version removed before it can be removed. One of my theories is that since this site 'had' something in the past AND it's on an ancient version of PHP and PHPBB, it is just auto flagged as a security risk. once I complete the update etc, I...

phpbb3 move and themes
There may be other resources, but a quick search of the googles gave me: http://www.phpbb3styles.net/ I kinda like this one: http://www.phpbb3styles.net/db/style/we_universal At any rate, this would be more of Allyn's final choice as the main site admin, but I figure people can throw out their prefe...

Re: Site work over the next 24-48 hours
I'm almost 100% positive it's totally themeable. Maybe allynmey won't care, but at any rate, I'll start a thread with a link to themes and if allyn doesn't mind we'll have people pick one and go with that.

Re: Site work over the next 24-48 hours
It is the latest 3.2 yes. I hadn't yet run an index on the search so I'm doing that now, not sure how long it will take, but its using the db native search too, so searches should be a lot faster when it completes.

Re: Site work over the next 24-48 hours
Update is complete, if a few people could login to: ampgarage.com/newforum/ and play around, that would be great, please post feedback, here on the old forum. It's up, but will start losing any posts here, its just to confirm it seems like we've lost nothing. If that's good then some evening soon (m...

Re: Site work over the next 24-48 hours
Hey rogb, it's coming along pretty well so far, I did a test on my own server and everything seemed pretty well handled, we'll see how this goes, I'll ask a few people to go over to that site and see what's what, its a clone but to newer software version, and then if that looks good, we'll repeat th...

Re: Site work over the next 24-48 hours
This is ongoing now, so you may sense some slowness, not sure. Seems fine to me so far, but the db is being copied over to a new forum setup with phpBB3.

Re: Site work over the next 24-48 hours
I've kicked off the first step of this, it's doing database back end work so things may be a touch slow for the next few hours. Basically we've got to update to phpbb3 first, to get on later versions of the forum code, and then we're going to aggressively try to get into why it's listed, We can't fi...
