Re: BK Butler * Real Tube * Blue Tube * Tube Driver * Tube Works

I can't resist...why do you want an amp that you never heard or knew existed? Vibra ~ what cannot you resist? Why? Because I like the manufacturer. Do you know ALL about every amp Fender ever made during the past 66 years? Too many, right? Just seeking. Found out about ProValve series. What do you ...

Re: BK Butler * Real Tube * Blue Tube * Tube Driver * Tube Works

I have discovered that Tube Works make the ProValve series: 1) Tube Works ProValve 100 = 60w per channel, 2U rackmount driven by two 6L6 tubes. 2) Tube Works ProValve 60-T = 60w amp head with spring reverb, driven by two 6L6 tubes. Learn something new everyday! The ProValve 60-T seems perfect for wh...

BK Butler * Real Tube * Blue Tube * Tube Driver * Tube Works

I've been seeking an all tube amp head from: 1) * BK Butler 2) * Real Tube 3) * Blue Tube 4) * Tube Driver 5) * Tube Works I tend to run into MosValve amps, solid state amps, and solid state with a 12AX7 preamp driver from the above five. I do know they're all one company with different product name...

Re: Rocktron HUSH Rackmount (vs) BOSS-NS2/ISP-Decimator Pedals

I am starting to desire an ISP. My BOSS NS2 and Rocktron Super C HUSH are absolutey fabulous. Tomorrow, my last rack item, the BK Butler Tube Works RT924 will arrive and will but it all together to "hear" what noises are made. If NS2 and HUSH do not do the job ~ ISP will get a chance. Thanks for the...

Re: Rocktron HUSH Rackmount (vs) BOSS-NS2/ISP-Decimator Pedals

Engls and some Peavey's use a simple noise gate, for example. Works well, but only for heavy overdrive as it can 'choke' a clean tone. One would believe that ISP, Peavey and Rocktron amps . . . . some of them would have noise gates ~ and apparently some do. And, the ability to turn the suppression ...

Re: Rocktron HUSH Rackmount (vs) BOSS-NS2/ISP-Decimator Pedals

Found one amp head with noise reduction. Gotta be more out there. "The ISP Theta Amp Head offers a unique approach to the guitar amplifier. The Theta also packs a huge punch; the internal D-CAT power amplifier delivers more than 300 watts RMS into a 4-ohm load and 150 watts into an 8-ohm load. You w...

Re: Rocktron HUSH Rackmount (vs) BOSS-NS2/ISP-Decimator Pedals

Good to know. Are you discussing the pedal or rackmount effect? I have two BOSS NS2's and currently a Rocktron Super C HUSH rackmount unit. Am putting together two systems (for fun and hobby) with lots of 12AX7 and 12AT7 pedals/rackmount based units within my chains. I will probably get a used ISP D...

Rackmount Power Amplifiers ~ ANY with noise suppression?

Hi. Before I waste to much time searching, do any rackmount power amp manufacturers make amps with HUSH or ISP noise reduction suppressor technology or features? Makes sense to me, and would save rack space. Front panel controls for the noise suppression levels management BEFORE the signal goes on t...

Re: Rackmount Compressor~Distortion~Overdrive~Delay Question

Thanks, Vibratoking. All of the items are rackmount with no batteries. I'm thinking of leaving the compressor on at all times more for initial guitar tone. A low setting just to keep tonal quality. Then, mess with the signal after the compressor. I am thinking of using the Rockmaster's distortion fo...

Re: Rackmount Compressor~Distortion~Overdrive~Delay Question

OK. So Overdrive AFTER Distortion, it is.

Why use an amp? All these are preamps
and I have 4x10 and 1x15 cabinets that
need a bit more than a 12AX7 tubes.

Rackmount Compressor~Distortion~Overdrive~Delay Question

Hi. I'm putting together a rackmount set of effects for Classic Rock, Blues & Rockabilly. The Maxon Delay and BK Butler Blue Tube II have not arrived. * Rackmount Maxon DM2000 Digital Delay * Rackmount Peavey Rockmaster 4x12AX7 Distortion * Rackmount BK Butler Tube Works Blue Tube II RT924 2x12AX7 O...

Rocktron HUSH Rackmount (vs) BOSS-NS2/ISP-Decimator Pedals

Hi. I'm thinking of clearing some rackmount space by removing a 1U Rocktron Super C HUSH rackmount effect. My 6U rackmount setup only has preamps (BK Butler Tube Works Blue Tube 904, Peavey Rockmaster, Rocktron 320 Compressor, Ibanez Delay, etc.) . . . . and I'm going to add another effects preamp i...

Re: Speaker Recone Services * SF Bay Area * Any good ones?

Thanks, guys. It is amazing that from San Francisco, across the SF Bay to Oakland, and down both sides to Silicon Valley & San Jose, there are no known advertised services for speaker repair. Brown Sound in San Rafael seems cool. But, 75 miles each way. Probably will ship to OC or Gordon or Weber or...

Speaker Recone Services * SF Bay Area * Any good ones?

Hi. I have an early 1960 Fender 6G4 2x10 Super Amp that is stock with two late 1959 Jensen P10R's. They need reconing. Does anybody know of speaker recone services within the San Francisco Bay Area? San Jose, Palo Alto, Oakland, San Mateo? I do know most all the fantastic national reconners, Gordon,...

Re: UNCOVERED: Fender 5D6-A with New Serial Number Series

Plexi50. Thanks for sharing and showing your pics. My bet is your chassis & tag board are 1955 5D6-A. I'll bet, IMHO, that it is all a 1955 build with earlier than March "EC" 1955 parts/components. But, the exciting part is the same and unusual serial number on both chassis. Maybe Baby ~ Leo Fender...
