Re: Express Pilot Light source
Thanks guys, they will go out hopefully tomorrow, it I can make time during work. They will definitely go by Thursday I'm off that day. I got a PM from a member (Grungeman) asking for two... I have committed all 10 to those who asked first... if anybody falls through, then they are up for grabs. I'l...

Re: Updated Express Bill of Material
GH- The Columns for the Liverpool are still in the document, I just hid them to clean it up. I think that a separate BOM for the 'pool would be perhaps better to keep it simple. Also, I don't have the kind of pics like I did with Francesca, so it might be a bit harder... unless there are some out th...

Re: Original looking IMP switch from Electroswitch
It's in the latest version..... I'm still waiting for some more responses on it.... I'm sure that it still has some inaccuracies in it that I would like to get straightened out before it gets put in the files section (at least I don't think it's in there yet). I think that Glen K. said that his Anni...

Re: Updated Express Bill of Material
Paulster- Thanks for the offer.... I haven't really decided how anal I'm going to get here... I am actively considering bias test points and a chassis mounted bias pot (ala Fender) to allow setting it without taking the chassis out... heresy for sure... Just don't know yet.. If I get wacked out on i...

Re: Help Troubleshooting unusual problem (for me)
Again as Nick noted, pull out the DVM and measure resistance from your guitar all the way to the ground from the power cord- zero ohms is the ticket.
I'd guess you have some sort of ground loop in the amp, but YMMV...

Hey Omar, why don't we just put this in the files section so that it's there for all??

Re: Updated Express Bill of Material
Well then, I guess it's just down to what you're trying to do- a 100% clone, or your own "improved" version (if that's really possible). The Unit from Hoffman looks pretty robust and is made for 3 poles. I just have to figure out what approach I'm going to take. Thanks again for everyone's help so f...

Re: Updated Express Bill of Material
Glen- Nice stash.... which lends me to a couple questions.... -Do you gig with the clones to protect your original? -The impedance selector: -Francesca has a 12 gang Stackpole switch. That leaves 9 switch positions where nothing is connected, and if I'm thinking at all right they are a hazard if acc...

Re: Tube testers and testing - Some questions
My Hickok tester measures "transconductance", and other parameters. Supposedly it give a better reading of real remaing tube life, not just "does it fire up" Many much smarter than me on this board can comment better on what is really needed to get a better reading of the viability of a given tube. ...

Re: Updated Express Bill of Material
The Tweaker kit was stuff from YOUR (I think) original document included to allow for experimentation with values to tune the amp as KF might have.....
