Re: Dynacord Twen; more???
Hi Bernaduur, do you like the sound of the amp? If you change to fixed bias you'll probably get 2-4 Watts extra at the expense of loosing the original sound. Change electrolytical capacitors and check some speakers. To keep the weight low - it's only 10kg (!) - you could try high efficiency neodyms....

Re: Wreck clean to mean with bleed capacitor on guitar vol?
Hi! Try it for yourself and your rig&playing style. I prefer 50s wiring w. low output humbuckers and no treble cap on volume pot for now. But my guitars are kinda bright and so are my speakers. There is a thread w. some valuable input from Glen Kuykendall and some others a while ago. http://ampgarag...

Re: Trainwreck inspired Amp finished + pics + first recordings
Hi! I've build a 15 W Liverpool (EL84) and like the TT 7025 for V1 a lot. It's a matter of taste though. 5751 might be an option if your not to much into gainy amps. V1 is most important: check for sound, noise floor/microfonic rattles aso. I did check several types for V2/3 but currently use JJECC8...

Re: EL84 Blues Amp
Hi there! Some interesting ideas. I just happen to be on the verge of a new amp with a similar concept. Thought about a 2xEl84 pp circuit w. fixed bias and some special feedback loop. Preamp might be Dumble inspired. There should be two different feedback configurations: 1. 2 gain stages ->PI ->El84...

Pretty baby, Harry!
Especially like the mahogany and the RED chassis. Did you simply butt joint the boards?
Transformers are looking fat for a <15 W amp. More like 50 W.
Schoen!

Re: Mods for normal channel fender to use with archtop jazz?
Hi sidehatch! I'd reduce the cathode caps. Try 10 uF or 5 uF. Up the cathode resistors a bit. Try 1k8. Use slightly different values for first and second gain stage. Sometimes a cut control in the power amplifier section is nice. Reducing values of coupling caps after stages is also an option. Inser...

Wayne, it takes an equally warped tube mind to think of that.
While dabbling w. my Lil'Wreck I thought a second about it...why not try? Nothing to lose.
